TL;DR: All three run to the IB Diploma, which surprises families who assume British School Manila means A Levels; its own admissions page describes an adapted British curriculum from EYFS through to the IB Diploma in Years 12 and 13. ISM and British School Manila are both in Bonifacio Global City; Brent Manila is in Biñan, Laguna, despite the name. ISM and Brent publish full SY 2026-2027 fee schedules (ISM elementary US$15,160 + ₱479,600; Brent Lower School US$8,704 + ₱399,840). British School Manila publishes no fees on its own site, so any figure you see quoted for it comes from somewhere else, and this guide labels it as such.
These three are the schools most often named in the same breath by relocating families, and they are more different from each other than the shortlist suggests. The differences that actually change a decision are curriculum end-point, campus location, and whether you can find out what it costs before you apply.

International School Manila
ISM sits on a purpose-built campus at University Parkway inside Bonifacio Global City. It describes itself as a non-profit day school for Preschool to Grade 12, organised into an Early Childhood Center, Elementary, Middle and High School.
On accreditation, ISM's own page names the Accrediting Commission for Schools of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the International Baccalaureate Organization. That page also states its PK-12 accreditation was reaffirmed through the end of a cycle ending 30 June 2025, so if the current status matters to you, ask the school where the cycle now stands rather than assuming.
Fees, SY 2026-2027, from ISM's own schedule:
| Division | Annual tuition |
|---|---|
| Preschool 3 and 4 | US$9,720 + ₱306,400 |
| Elementary, Kindergarten to Grade 4 | US$15,160 + ₱479,600 |
| Middle School, Grades 5 to 8 | US$16,520 + ₱524,600 |
| High School, Grades 9 to 10 | US$17,620 + ₱558,400 |
| High School, Grades 11 to 12 | US$19,660 + ₱623,800 |
Both currency components are billed. At roughly ₱62 to US$1 (August 2026, approximate), elementary lands near ₱1.42 million a year before anything else.
On top: a US$700 application fee for applications submitted on or after 1 August 2026, a US$4,500 matriculation fee and a separate US$4,500 facilities enhancement fee, both one-time and both for new students entering Kindergarten to Grade 12 or the Specialized Learning Support Program. English as an Additional Language support runs US$1,625 per semester in year one and US$1,100 in year two. Learning Support Services run US$840 to US$2,940 per semester by level, and the Speech Language Program US$575 to US$1,400.
ISM also publishes school bus rates for SY 2026-2027 through its transport provider, from ₱23,660 per quarter for an afternoon-only run in Zone 1 to ₱54,600 per quarter for a roundtrip from Zone 5, which covers Alabang, parts of Ortigas, Eastwood Libis and Roxas Boulevard. Zones 1 and 2 are essentially BGC itself. Four quarters a year makes transport a five- to six-figure peso line.
Suits: families who want the largest campus and the deepest co-curricular programme inside BGC, who can absorb the highest published fee of the three, and who want a school with a long IB and WASC track record.
The British School Manila
BSM is also in Bonifacio Global City, on 36th Street in University Park. Its admissions page states it accepts students aged 3 to 18 from more than 50 nationalities, requires age-appropriate English proficiency with assessment on application, maintains small class sizes, and runs a wait pool with admissions priority categories.
The curriculum detail worth reading twice: BSM's own admissions page describes an adapted form of the British curriculum spanning the Early Years Foundation Stage through to the IB Diploma in Years 12 and 13. Families arriving from the UK often assume a British-curriculum school ends in A Levels. On BSM's own description, this one ends in the IB Diploma. If your child is mid-GCSE and you are planning around A Levels, raise it with admissions early.
On fees, we have to be straight with you. BSM does not publish a fee schedule on its own website. Its admissions page contains no figures and no link to one, and the fees URL pattern that works on many school sites returns a 404 on theirs. The school directs fee questions to a phone number and an enquiry form.
The only reasonably attributable public figures for the current year come from a survey, not the school. PhilSTAR Life published a list of international school tuition for A.Y. 2026-2027 on 25 May 2026, and its entry for The British School Manila reads: Nursery £4,170 + ₱444,180; Reception to Year 6 £6,930 + ₱738,510; Year 7 to 9 £7,785 + ₱830,730; Year 10 to 11 £8,190 + ₱873,180; Year 12 to 13 £9,165 + ₱977,790.
Treat those as a media survey figure with a date on it, not as the school's schedule. Several directory sites carry BSM numbers that do not match the survey, which is exactly why we are not stacking them. Ask BSM in writing for the full schedule including entrance and capital charges before you commit to anything.
Suits: families who want a British-rooted school inside BGC with a small-class model and are comfortable getting fee information through admissions rather than off a page.
Brent International School Manila
Brent's name is the single biggest source of confusion in this comparison. The Manila campus address is Brentville Subdivision, Barangay Mamplasan, Biñan, Laguna. That is south of Metro Manila, well past Alabang. Brent also operates separate campuses in Baguio and Subic. If your working life is in Makati or BGC, this is a daily commute decision, not a detail.
Academically Brent runs an American programme through an Early Learning Center, Lower School, Middle School and Upper School, with the IB Diploma Programme available in the senior years and English as an Additional Language support.
Fees, SY 2026-2027, from Brent's own schedule dated 4 March 2026:
| Level | Annual payment |
|---|---|
| Nursery | US$3,584 + ₱164,120 |
| Pre-Kindergarten | US$4,600 + ₱211,056 |
| Lower School, Kindergarten to Grade 5 | US$8,704 + ₱399,840 |
| Middle School, Grades 6 to 8 | US$9,320 + ₱428,168 |
| Upper School, Grades 9 to 12 | US$9,680 + ₱444,496 |
Brent states explicitly that you are billed the US dollar amount plus the peso amount. Tuition may be paid annually, by semester or by quarter; every other fee is due in full on its date.
Additional charges: a capital development fee of US$1,575 a year for all students, a one-time US$3,000 matriculation fee for new Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 students (a child starting in Nursery pays it when they enter Pre-Kindergarten), an ESL fee of US$1,210 where English support is needed in Grades 1 to 8, a US$300 application fee, and a US$600 non-refundable seat reservation for newly accepted students. A US$500 wait pool payment is refundable. Re-enrolment for existing students is US$1,000 and was due 24 April 2026 for the 2026-2027 year, with a sliding refund scale through 7 August 2026.
Two policies worth knowing before you sign. Tuition is non-refundable except where parents are transferred out of the region during the year or the student needs protracted medical care abroad. And late payments attract a cumulative 2 percent per month, with report cards withheld and re-admission refused for accounts in arrears at quarter end.
One rare piece of good news in a fee schedule: pay the full school fees before 7 August 2026 and Brent gives you two school uniforms at no cost.
Suits: families who want the lowest published fee of the three, who value an American diploma pathway with an IB option, and who either live south of the city or are willing to move there.
Cost Comparison on Like-for-Like Terms
Converted at approximately ₱62 to US$1 (August 2026, approximate), for a new mid-primary student in year one:
| ISM (Elementary) | Brent (Lower School) | |
|---|---|---|
| Tuition | US$15,160 + ₱479,600 | US$8,704 + ₱399,840 |
| One-time and annual add-ons | US$700 application, US$4,500 matriculation, US$4,500 facilities | US$300 application, US$3,000 matriculation, US$600 seat reservation, US$1,575 capital development |
| Approximate year-one total | about ₱2.15 million | about ₱1.28 million |
| Approximate year two | about ₱1.55 million | about ₱1.04 million |
British School Manila cannot be placed in that table honestly, because the school publishes nothing to place there.
Disclaimer: all figures are transcribed from the school's own published schedule for the year stated, except the British School Manila figures, which are from a dated PhilSTAR Life survey and are labelled as such. Verify with the school before budgeting.
Choosing Between Them
Start with location, because it is the constraint you cannot renegotiate. Two of the three are walkable from BGC housing. One is in Laguna.
Then curriculum end-point. All three finish at the IB Diploma, so the real difference is the years before it: an IB continuum at ISM, an adapted British programme at BSM, an American programme at Brent. If your family will move again mid-schooling, ask each school how a transfer out at Grade 9 or Year 10 typically works.
Then fee transparency, which is a proxy for something. A school that publishes a full schedule with refund policies and withdrawal deadlines is easier to plan against than one that does not, whatever the underlying quality.
Then visit. Class size, pastoral care and the feel of a corridor at 3pm do not appear in any of the above.
For the full picture of what these numbers leave out, read what international school in Manila really costs. If the flagship tier is out of range, affordable international schools in Metro Manila covers the accredited schools at the lower end, and international schools in BGC and Taguig maps the cluster around ISM and BSM. Our broader guides to the best international schools in the Philippines and international school fees cover Cebu as well.
On paperwork: children of foreign parents entering basic education should start with foreign students in basic education and, if records are coming from abroad, apostilling school records. Families arriving mid-year should read transferring mid-year from abroad.
