Every IB World School in the Philippines

TL;DR: The IB organisation's own directory lists 34 IB World Schools in the Philippines as of August 2026. Twenty are in Metro Manila, eleven elsewhere in Luzon, two in Cebu and one in Mindanao. The Diploma Programme dominates: 28 schools offer it, 12 offer the Primary Years Programme, 7 offer the Middle Years Programme, and exactly one — German European School Manila — offers the Career-related Programme. Only four schools run the full PYP, MYP and DP continuum. Every entry below was checked against ibo.org's programme table, not against a ranking page.

If you are choosing an IB school in the Philippines, the useful question is not which one is "best." It is which programme each school is actually authorised for, because a school marketed as an IB school may hold only one authorisation, and it may not be the one your child needs.

This list comes from the IB organisation's Find an IB World School directory, filtered to the Philippines within the IB Asia Pacific region, read in August 2026. The programme columns are the IB's own. Cities come from either the IB's listed coordinator address or the school's own website.

The numbers first

Diploma Programme (DP)28
Primary Years Programme (PYP)12
Middle Years Programme (MYP)7
Career-related Programme (CP)1

The shape of that table is the story. The Philippines has plenty of two-year IB Diploma programmes bolted onto senior high school, and very little IB below Grade 11. If you want your child in the IB from primary through to university entry, you are choosing between four schools in the whole country.

A few notes on that table. International School Manila is the oldest IB authorisation in the country, dating to 1 January 1975. Colegio San Agustin Makati is the newest, dated 25 August 2026. Saint Jude Catholic School does not publish a street address on its own website, so we have not invented one — its contact number is an NCR landline.

Two Manila schools are worth flagging for how they combine systems. The British School Manila runs an adapted English National Curriculum with IGCSEs, then the IB Diploma in Years 12 and 13; it is a British school whose exit qualification is the IB. Chinese International School Manila runs the American Core Curriculum from Grades 1 to 10 and switches to the IB Diploma for Grades 11 and 12.

The Brent group is the reason IB coverage outside Manila exists at all: three separate campuses, three separate Diploma Programme authorisations, and the Baguio campus running since 1982. Note that "Brent International School - Manila" is not in Manila; its campus is in Brentville Subdivision, Barangay Mamplasan, Binan, Laguna.

M7 Philippine Cambridge School deserves a warning label. Despite "Cambridge" in the name, its own website presents an IB pathway — Diploma Programme authorised, with PYP and MYP described as candidate programmes — and no IGCSE or A Level. The name is branding, not a Cambridge Assessment International Education programme. If you want the genuine article, see our British curriculum schools guide.

Mother Goose Lipa is listed by the IB for the PYP, but the school's own pages describe Montessori, Piagetian and open classroom methods without mentioning the IB. Ask them directly which programme runs at which level.

Visayas (2 schools)

Cebu International SchoolPit-os, Cebu City18 Oct 1999

Cebu International School is the only continuum school outside Luzon. Its IB page shows three separate authorisation dates: the Diploma Programme on 18 October 1999, the Primary Years Programme on 10 January 2014 and the Middle Years Programme on 13 May 2021 — a good illustration of how these things are built up one programme at a time rather than granted in a block. It also happens to be the most transparent school in the country on money: it publishes a dated fee schedule showing US$3,927 plus ₱1,104,170 for Grades 11 and 12 in SY 2026-27, roughly US$21,700 at ~₱62 = US$1. Singapore School Cebu holds the Diploma Programme only, and describes itself as the first Cebu campus to be both an IB World School and a Cambridge International School. Both are covered in more depth in our Cebu international schools guide.

Mindanao (1 school)

SchoolCityPYPMYPDPCPIB school since
Stockbridge American International SchoolBugac, Maa, Davao City20 Mar 2025

That is the whole of Mindanao. One school, one programme, authorised in March 2025, covering the primary years only. There is no IB Middle Years Programme and no IB Diploma anywhere on the island, which shapes every schooling decision for families posted there — see the Davao international schools guide.

What the four programmes actually are

Primary Years Programme (PYP) covers ages 3 to 12. It is a framework for how a primary school teaches rather than a syllabus, and there is no external exam at the end.

Middle Years Programme (MYP) covers ages 11 to 16, roughly Grades 6 to 10. It can end in optional external eAssessment. It is the rarest of the three core programmes in the Philippines, with only 7 schools.

Diploma Programme (DP) is the two-year, externally examined qualification for Grades 11 and 12 that universities recognise worldwide. It is what most people mean when they say "IB."

Career-related Programme (CP) combines DP courses with career-related study. In the Philippines, German European School Manila is the only provider.

The gap between 28 DP schools and 7 MYP schools tells you what the Philippine market has actually bought: a senior-high qualification that helps with foreign university admission, without restructuring the years below it. That is a legitimate choice, but it means most Filipino "IB students" join the IB at 16.

How to verify a school yourself

The directory is public and takes about a minute to use.

  1. Open the IB's Find an IB World School tool.
  2. Set region to IB Asia Pacific and country to Philippines. Leaving the region on the default of IB Americas returns zero results, which trips people up.
  3. Read the programme columns. A tick is an authorisation. No tick is no authorisation, whatever the school's marketing says.
  4. Click through to the school page for the IB school code and the per-programme authorisation date.

Two cautions. First, "candidate school" is not the same as authorised. Candidate schools are working toward authorisation and do not appear as authorised in the directory; several Philippine schools describe themselves as IB while holding candidate status for the programme you care about. Ask which programmes are authorised and which are candidate, in writing.

Second, the directory's contact data lags. The IB states plainly that school pages are pulled automatically from its information system and that a school's coordinator updates the details. One Philippine entry lists a Facebook page where the website should be. Trust the programme table; verify the phone number and address against the school itself.

Fees, and why this list does not rank schools

We have not ranked these schools, because a ranking would have to be built on numbers most of them do not publish.

Four publish a readable fee table on their own website, and they are worth reading side by side. Figures are annual and for SY 2026-27 unless noted; USD approximations use ~₱62 = US$1.

SchoolYoungest grade bandGrades 11-12
International School ManilaUS$9,720 + ₱306,400 (Preschool 3-4)US$19,660 + ₱623,800 (~US$29,700)
Cebu International SchoolUS$1,191 + ₱520,593 (EY2/EY3)US$3,927 + ₱1,104,170 (~US$21,700)
Chinese International School Manila₱684,700 (Nursery)₱1,124,300 (~US$18,100)
Domuschola International School₱62,000 per quarter (Early Years)₱135,800 per quarter (~US$8,800/yr)

ISM adds US$700 application, US$4,500 matriculation and US$4,500 facilities enhancement for new students. CIS adds a one-time entrance fee of ₱63,124 to ₱341,373 plus separately priced English language support. CISM notes its annual figure includes a fully refundable ₱150,000. Domuschola charges unpublished matriculation and capital development fees on top.

A second group publishes fee documents rather than fee tables: British School Manila puts its fees inside a downloadable admissions guide, and Brent's three campuses and German European School Manila each post a fee PDF. Open them at source rather than trusting a transcription — including ours, which is why we are not transcribing them.

Everyone else refers you to admissions. Where a school publishes nothing, any specific peso figure circulating on a directory site is unsourced, and we do not repeat it. For what is actually published nationally, see our international school fees guide and the best international schools list.

If you are weighing the IB against the local system rather than against another international curriculum, our Philippine education system guide explains how senior high school and the K-12 tracks fit together.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many IB schools are there in the Philippines?

Thirty-four. That is the count returned by the IB organisation's own Find an IB World School directory for the Philippines, filtered to the IB Asia Pacific region, when we checked in August 2026. The number moves: Colegio San Agustin Makati was added with an authorisation date of 25 August 2026.

Which Philippine schools offer the full IB continuum?

Four. Cebu International School, Chiang Kai Shek College in Manila, Hope Christian High School in Manila, and Noblesse International School in Angeles City are each listed for the Primary Years Programme, the Middle Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. Every other school in the country runs a partial set.

Which school offers the IB Career-related Programme?

Only German European School Manila in Paranaque. It is the sole Philippine entry in the IB directory with the CP box ticked, alongside PYP and DP. If the Career-related Programme is what you want, the country has exactly one option.

Is there an IB school in Mindanao?

One. Stockbridge American International School, with its IB coordinator address in Bugac, Maa, Davao City, was authorised on 20 March 2025 for the Primary Years Programme. There is no MYP or Diploma Programme anywhere in Mindanao.

Where is the IB Diploma Programme available in the Philippines?

At 28 of the 34 schools, which makes DP by far the most common programme in the country. Twenty of those are in Metro Manila. Outside the capital region the DP is available in Baguio, Binan, Subic, Angeles, Tanauan, Imus, Cebu City and Mandaue.

How do I check whether a school really is an IB World School?

Search the school by name in the IB organisation's Find an IB World School tool and read the programme table. Each school has an IB school code and a per-programme authorisation date. A school that is a candidate rather than authorised does not appear as authorised in that directory, which is why the directory beats any listicle.

Do IB schools in the Philippines publish their fees?

Four do, clearly: International School Manila, Cebu International School, Chinese International School Manila and Domuschola International School all publish SY 2026-27 tuition on their own sites. British School Manila, the three Brent campuses and German European School Manila publish fee documents you have to download. The rest refer you to admissions, and any peso figure a directory quotes for those schools is unsourced.

Is the IB directory ever out of date?

Yes, and it says so. The IB notes that school pages are pulled automatically from its information system and that coordinators update their own details. Some records carry stale contact data, and one Philippine school lists a Facebook page instead of a website. Programme authorisations are reliable; contact details are not.
