Circa 2025. Felt so much nostalgia when we visited our alma mater. It’s good to be back. A lot has changed, but some things remain the same. Top-notch education, brilliant professors, reasonable tuition and miscellaneous fees when I was a student there. If you’re an alumni, you can just present your alum id to the security guard. They will ask you your purpose for entering the school, then they’ll give you a small form. You need to have that signed to an officer once you’ve finished (ie. registrar, cashier, library, alumni office). In our case, my friend lost her alum id so we went to get a new one. A replacement costs ₱ 300.00 at the Alumni Center. Fill-up the form, settle payment, have your photo taken, wait for a few minutes and voila! You already have a new alumni id. You can proceed to IT for the RFID feature to be activated. We roamed a bit. Walked through the pathways. Visited the new cafeteria. Went to the library. Saw this new water station where you can fill your tumblers (Yes, it’s free. I remember we only had drinking fountains before). Checked the bookstore for uni merch. Reminisced a bit. I think I even missed climbing up and down the stairs hahaha. Such good memories, SLU. Always proud to be a Louisian.

Declining quality of educators.... Arrogant professors that give failing marks in at a time when no one can contest because classes have been suspended because of inclement weather. Once suspensions are not in effect, the educator/s are nowhere to be found or does not show up on the time they have committed to receive projects, papers or reports. Boohoo! You're going down!

The services of the Merryheights campus: Unavailable services in times of scheduled student enrollment needs. Staffs are inconsiderate and does not cater to student concerns to make way to the office needed. They only do their job for the sake of doing their job. One staff also voiced out their joke one time for everyone to hear that the queue line was easier because alot of students' concerns were rejected. Don't even bother trying to change your schedule. They reject medical reason, transportation cut-offs, concerns regarding the dangers of the location you are staying, etc.. They only accept reason of conflicting schedules. They treat you like elementary students.

Really tough and bad experience in this university. Professors were hard on their schedule as they won't give times for muslim friday prayers. Even after taking a 15min excuse from Dean, he would take quizzes exactly on friday exact time. And as a person with different faiths, these people force them to do their own religious affairs, like going to mass and taking their Christian subjects every semester. We do not do the same for Christians in our country, as we give them separate curriculum and they are given the right to practice faith on their own. International standard is not in this university.
