IDP IELTS Cebu Test Centre: Fees, Dates, and Booking

TL;DR — IDP's Cebu test centre is a place to sit IELTS, not to study for it. It publishes its prices, which most Philippine test venues do not: PHP 14,470 for IELTS Academic or General Training, PHP 16,230 for the UKVI versions, on computer-delivered sessions listed for October 2026. Results in 1 to 5 days, One Skill Retake available, and the venue is at Keppel Building in Cebu Business Park.

Most entries in our review-centre directory are places that teach. This one is not. Take your IELTS with IDP Philippines - Cebu Test Centre administers the exam. If you turn up expecting a class, you have the wrong address.

That distinction matters more than it sounds, because in Cebu the two functions sit close together. JRooz IELTS Review Center Cebu and CEVAS Cebu coach; IDP scores. You will probably use both, and you pay them separately.

What IDP Cebu publishes about its own fees

The useful thing about a test centre is that its prices are attached to real, bookable dates. IDP's Cebu page prices each session individually rather than posting a rate card, and in early September 2026 the October sittings looked like this.

TestFormatPrice
IELTS AcademicComputer-deliveredPHP 14,470
IELTS General TrainingComputer-deliveredPHP 14,470
IELTS for UKVI (Academic)Computer-deliveredPHP 16,230
IELTS for UKVI (General Training)Computer-deliveredPHP 16,230

The PHP 1,760 gap between the standard test and the UKVI version is not a better exam. It is the same test taken under UK Home Office security conditions, and you only need it if the body you are applying to specifically requires a UKVI-approved result. Paying for UKVI when a standard Academic result would have done is a common and expensive mistake. Check the exact wording of your visa or university requirement before you pick.

Because IDP prices per session, treat the table above as what we saw on a particular day rather than a permanent rate. The price is displayed next to each date in the booking flow, so it is easy to verify at the moment you commit.

What the published price does not cover

The centre page prices the test and stops there. Several costs that regularly catch candidates out are not shown on it, and none of them are things we will guess at:

  • The One Skill Retake fee. Every session is flagged as One Skill Retake eligible, but no price for the retake itself appears on the centre page. Ask before you assume it is cheap.
  • Rebooking and cancellation. IDP has policies for moving or cancelling a booking, and the fees and deadlines are not on the centre page. If there is any chance your date will move, get the terms in writing before you pay.
  • Additional Test Report Forms. You get one TRF. Sending scores to extra institutions is normally charged, and the number of free recipient sends is not stated here.
  • Courier delivery of your TRF. One reviewer's account describes chasing the branch for a tracking number. Ask how the physical form reaches you and how long it takes.

The point is not that IDP is hiding anything. It is that a published test fee is not a published total, and the total is what your budget has to survive.

The sessions the centre actually runs

Sixteen sessions were listed for October 2026 across four dates: Saturday 17 October, Sunday 18 October, Wednesday 28 October, and Friday 30 October. Every one of them started at 1:30 PM.

Every one of them was also computer-delivered, with writing on computer. The centre's own filter offers "IELTS on Paper" as an option, but nothing on paper appeared in that window. If your preference is genuinely paper-based, do not assume it exists in Cebu on your date. Filter for it and look at what comes back before you build a plan around it.

The centre lists test types beyond the four in the table: IELTS for UKVI Life Skills at A1, A2, and B1 levels. Those are short speaking-and-listening-only tests used for UK family and settlement visas, not for study, and they are priced and scheduled separately.

Two more flags appear on every session: One Skill Retake available, and Accessible IELTS test centre. The first lets you re-sit a single skill rather than the whole exam if one band score drags you down. The second is IDP's accessibility designation for the venue. If you need a specific arrangement, request it when you book, not on the day.

Booking: the process, step by step

  1. Choose the right test first. Academic, General Training, UKVI, or Life Skills. Get this wrong and the money is gone. Our IELTS vs TOEFL comparison covers the earlier fork, if you have not settled on IELTS at all yet.
  2. Book online through IDP. The booking page asks for a clear colour scan or photograph of your passport and a credit card to complete payment. There is no bank-deposit route in the online flow.
  3. Or book offline. IDP says you can visit a branch to book in person. That is the practical route if you do not have a credit card.
  4. Register with the passport you will actually carry. The document you book with is the ID you must present on test day. A mismatch is a wasted fee.
  5. Watch for the confirmation letter, then re-read the address. More on this below.
  6. Speaking may be scheduled separately. The booking flow carries its own speaking date and time fields, which can differ from the listening-reading-writing session.

The address problem worth knowing about

The one genuinely useful thing in the public feedback on this centre is not a complaint about staff. It is a logistics warning: a candidate reported that their confirmation letter named a different, similarly branded IDP-linked office, assumed the two shared a building, and nearly went to the wrong place. Another reported a session being moved at short notice the night before.

Neither of these is a reason to avoid the centre. Both are a reason to do two dull things:

  • Read the address on your confirmation letter character by character and compare it with the venue you plan to travel to. The test centre is at the ground floor of Keppel Building, Cardinal Rosales Avenue corner Samar Loop, Cebu Business Park.
  • Keep the phone number reachable. Our record for this centre carries 0917 100 3603; IDP's own centre page lists 09171076985 and the email [email protected]. Different numbers, both apparently live. Save both.

If you are flying in from another island to sit the exam, build a buffer day. A schedule change the night before is survivable when you are already in Cebu and expensive when your return flight is the next morning.

Practical notes for test day

The office is open Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Those are enquiry hours, not test hours.

Candidates consistently mention two physical details about this venue. Lockers exist but are limited, so arriving very early does not guarantee you can store your bag. And the air conditioning runs cold enough to be a distraction over a three-hour test. Bring a light jacket and carry as little as possible.

Washroom rules are set by IELTS, not by the branch: no break in the last ten minutes of a section. Plan accordingly rather than relying on an invigilator to remind you.

Who this centre suits

Anyone in Cebu, Bohol, Negros, or Leyte who needs IELTS and does not want to fly to Manila. The fee is the same nationwide, so there is no financial argument for travelling.

It suits you less well if you need paper-based IELTS on a specific date, or if you are counting on a same-week booking. Sessions cluster on particular dates rather than running daily.

And it does not suit you at all as a study option. If your band score is the problem rather than the logistics, spend your money on a review programme first. Our guides to IELTS review centres in Cebu and to IELTS review centres nationwide cover the teaching side, and the wider Cebu review-centre listing shows what else is in the city.

One last piece of arithmetic. At PHP 14,470 a sitting, a retake costs more than most short review courses. If you are borderline, the cheaper path is almost always to prepare properly once rather than to book early and hope.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does IELTS cost at IDP Cebu?

On the sessions listed on IDP's own Cebu test centre page in early September 2026, IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training were both priced at PHP 14,470, and IELTS for UKVI (Academic and General Training) at PHP 16,230. IDP prices per session on the booking page rather than publishing a fixed rate card, so check the price attached to the specific date you want before you pay.

Where is the IDP IELTS test centre in Cebu?

Ground floor, Keppel Building, Cardinal Rosales Avenue corner Samar Loop, Cebu Business Park, 6000 Cebu City. Note that other IDP-linked offices exist in Cebu under different names, and past candidates have reported being sent to the wrong one, so match the address on your confirmation letter against this one before test day.

Does IDP Cebu offer IELTS review classes?

No. It is a test administration venue, not a review centre. It does not run coaching or review programmes. If you want classes before you sit the exam, you need a separate review provider, then book the test itself through IDP.

Is IELTS at IDP Cebu on paper or on computer?

The centre page lists both formats in its filter, but every one of the 16 October 2026 sessions showing when we checked was computer-delivered, with writing on computer. If you specifically need paper-based IELTS, filter for it before assuming it is available on your preferred date.

How long do IELTS results take at IDP Cebu?

Every session listed on the centre page carries the note "Results in 1 to 5 days", which is the standard turnaround for computer-delivered IELTS. Paper-based results normally take about 13 days. Physical Test Report Forms are couriered separately, and delivery time is not published.

What do I need to book an IELTS test at IDP Cebu?

IDP's booking page asks for a clear colour scan or photo of your passport and a credit card for payment. You can also book offline by visiting an IDP branch. The passport you register with is the ID you must present on test day, so book with the document you will actually carry.

Can I retake just one part of the IELTS at IDP Cebu?

Yes. Every session listed on the Cebu centre page is flagged "One Skill Retake available", which lets you re-sit a single skill (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking) instead of the whole test. Eligibility rules and the list of organisations that accept a One Skill Retake result are set by IELTS, not by the branch, so confirm your receiving institution accepts it first.

What are IDP Cebu's opening hours?

The centre page lists Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. These are office hours for enquiries and offline booking, not test times. The October 2026 test sessions were all scheduled at 1:30 PM.
