TL;DR: Ateneo de Manila University is the only Quezon City school on this list that publishes hard numbers: PHP 136,609 for a full college semester on its School Year 2027-2028 estimate, and upwards of PHP 230,000 a year for Grade 7. School of the Holy Spirit of Quezon City has the longest accreditation record (PAASCU Level III since December 1986, valid to February 2030), Miriam College is the established women's institution, and PSHS Main Campus in Diliman is the free, highly selective science option.
Introduction
Quezon City is the largest city in Metro Manila by area and holds an unusual density of long-established schools: the Katipunan corridor with Ateneo and Miriam, the UP Diliman cluster, the Claretian and SSpS schools, and a wide mid-market of Catholic and non-sectarian institutions across Cubao, Fairview and Commonwealth.
The one thing almost none of them does is publish tuition. We checked. Ateneo publishes; the rest direct you to an accounting office. That matters, because most "Quezon City tuition" tables circulating online trace back to a single 2024 magazine listicle rather than to any school's own fee schedule. This guide gives you the figures that are genuinely published and stays quiet where they are not.
Private schools in Quezon City
1. Ateneo de Manila University
Location: Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights, Quezon City Type: Catholic (Jesuit), basic education and university Fees: Published
Ateneo de Manila University is the most transparent school in the city about cost. For School Year 2027-2028 it estimates a full 20-unit undergraduate semester at PHP 110,691 in tuition, PHP 17,394 in basic fees and PHP 8,524 in other fees, totalling PHP 136,609 a semester, payable in two or four instalments. Programmes under the School of Science and Engineering run slightly higher because of laboratory fees. Ateneo froze tuition and fees across all school units for SY 2026-2027, but it does not publish a separate peso breakdown for that year.
For basic education, Ateneo Junior High School tells applicants to expect upwards of PHP 230,000 for tuition and fees across a school year, with exact figures announced around May. For reference, Grade 7 fees for SY 2023-2024 ran PHP 204,000 to PHP 210,000 depending on whether a family paid yearly, semestrally, quarterly or monthly.
Ateneo's basic education schools are also mid-transition to full co-education. The Grade School welcomed girls in Kindergarten and Grade 1 on 1 August 2024, 200 in that first cohort, and Junior High welcomed its first co-ed Grade 7 batch on 9 August 2024, 161 girls among 696 students. Every level from Kinder to Grade 12 is scheduled to be co-ed by SY 2029-2030.
2. Miriam College
Location: Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights, Quezon City Type: Catholic (Maryknoll), women only, basic education to graduate school Fees: Not published
Miriam College was founded by the Maryknoll Sisters in 1926 and remains a women's institution across every level. It is best known for environmental science, communication and international studies. Fees are not posted; the Student Accounts Department handles enquiries at [email protected]. Any specific Miriam tuition figure you find online is someone else's recollection, not the school's publication.
3. School of the Holy Spirit of Quezon City
Location: F. Sotto Street, BF Homes, Quezon City Type: Catholic (Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit), basic education Fees: Not published
School of the Holy Spirit of Quezon City was established in 1978 and opened in 1979, beginning as a satellite of the College of the Holy Spirit in Manila, which the SSpS sisters founded in 1913. It has the strongest documented accreditation record in this guide: PAASCU Level III for basic education, first accredited in December 1986 and valid through February 2030.
4. Claret School of Quezon City
Location: Mahinhin Street, UP Village, Diliman, Quezon City Type: Catholic (Claretian), co-ed, Junior Nursery to Grade 12 Fees: Not published, but payment guidelines are
Claret School of Quezon City is run by the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and covers Junior Nursery through Grade 12, with STEM, ABM and HUMSS in senior high. Its grade school unit is PAASCU re-accredited. The school does not post amounts but does publish general guidelines on payment under its admissions section, which is worth reading before you enquire.
5. Immaculate Conception Cathedral School

Immaculate Conception Cathedral School serves the Cubao parish community and is one of the long-standing mid-market Catholic options in the city. It does not publish a fee schedule, so figures quoted for it elsewhere are unverified.
6. New Era University
Location: New Era, Quezon City Type: Iglesia ni Cristo, co-ed, basic education and university Fees: Not published
New Era University is the flagship educational institution of the Iglesia ni Cristo, running basic education alongside university programmes in education, business, engineering and information technology on a large Commonwealth-area campus. It has a reputation for structure and discipline.
7. Siena College of Quezon City
Location: Del Monte Avenue, Quezon City Type: Catholic (Dominican), co-ed, basic education and college Fees: Not published
Siena College of Quezon City is run by the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena and covers basic education through college. It is a practical option for families in the Del Monte and Banawe corridor who want Dominican formation without a Katipunan commute.
8. Philippine School of Business Administration, Quezon City
Location: Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City Type: Non-sectarian, co-ed, university Fees: Not published
PSBA Quezon City is a specialist business school and one of the standard destinations in the area for accountancy, business administration and computing. If you are choosing on the strength of a specific programme rather than a school brand, ask the registrar for its recent CPA board passing rate and compare it with the national figure.
9. Diliman Preparatory School
Location: Commonwealth, Quezon City Type: Non-sectarian, co-ed, basic education Fees: Not published
Diliman Preparatory School is a large, long-established non-sectarian school on the Commonwealth side of the city, oriented toward college preparation. It is the main secular alternative to the Catholic schools in this part of QC.
10. O.B. Montessori Center, Fairview
Location: Fairview, Quezon City Type: Non-sectarian Montessori, co-ed, preschool to Grade 12 Fees: Not published
O.B. Montessori Center's Fairview campus is the Quezon City branch of the network and applies the Montessori method in a Philippine curriculum context, with self-directed work and hands-on materials. Note that O.B. Montessori also has a Greenhills campus in San Juan; listings often conflate the two.
The selective state options
Two Quezon City schools are free and extremely hard to get into. Philippine Science High School Main Campus in Diliman is a Department of Science and Technology scholarship school for Grades 7 to 12, entered through the PSHS National Competitive Examination, and the system is now governed by Republic Act 12310, which repealed the 1997 PSHS System Act.
UP Integrated School, the laboratory school of the UP Diliman College of Education, takes about 100 students at Kindergarten through the Kindergarten Admission Test, with 60 of those slots reserved for children of UP employees. Grade 7 entry through the Grade 7 Admission Test depends entirely on how many Grade 6 slots are vacated, so the number of places changes year to year.

Schools often listed as QC that are not
- Xavier School is on Xavier Street, Greenhills, San Juan. It is a short drive from parts of QC, but it is a San Juan school.
- La Consolacion College Caloocan is in Caloocan, on Samson Road.
- O.B. Montessori Greenhills is in San Juan. The Fairview campus is the Quezon City one.
Money you can plan around
Because most QC schools quote privately, the reliable numbers in your plan are the government subsidies and Ateneo's published figures.
DepEd Order No. 011, s. 2026, the revised E-GASTPE guidelines effective SY 2026-2027, sets both. Section 48 and Table 13 put the Senior High School Voucher Programme at up to PHP 22,500 a year in the National Capital Region for Categories A, B and C, and PHP 18,000 for Categories D and E. Section 21 and Table 5 put the Education Service Contracting grant for Grades 7-10 at PHP 13,000 a year in NCR. In both programmes the school is paid the lower of its total fees or the cap.
Two things families get wrong. Nobody qualifies automatically: Qualified Voucher Recipient is the status you receive once your application is approved, and Categories A to D file directly at the private senior high school they choose, with only Category E applying through OVAP. And the voucher is private-school-only, so transferring to a public school or to an SHS run by a state or local university or college forfeits it. How to choose in Quezon City
Geography does more work here than anywhere else in the metro. QC runs from Novaliches in the north to Cubao in the south. The Katipunan corridor is excellent and congested; the Commonwealth and Fairview side is a different city in practice. Drive the route at school-run hour before you commit.
Decide on formation style, then shortlist. Jesuit at Ateneo, Maryknoll at Miriam, SSpS at Holy Spirit, Claretian at Claret, Dominican at Siena, Montessori at O.B., secular at Diliman Prep, Iglesia ni Cristo at New Era. That narrows a 30-school field to three or four faster than budget does.
Ask for the fee schedule in writing, and ask what is excluded. Ateneo's own figures separate tuition from basic fees and other fees, and the gap is over PHP 26,000 a semester. Assume the same structure elsewhere.
Check ESC and voucher participation before you fall for a school. For Grades 7 to 12 that can change the real cost more than any discount.
Do not treat a listicle table as a price list. If a figure did not come from the school, it is not a price.
