UP Cebu is small on purpose. Twelve undergraduate degree programmes, four academic units, no engineering, no law, no medicine. That is the whole undergraduate offering, and knowing it saves you from listing a UP Cebu course preference that does not exist.
Below is the programme list with the course codes UP itself uses on the application, the conditions attached to specific programmes, and the one place where two official UP pages give conflicting answers. Address, contacts and level flags are on the University of the Philippines Cebu profile.
A note on sources, because it matters here
At the time of writing, UP Cebu's own website is returning a connection timeout and cannot be reached. Everything below therefore comes from University of the Philippines System sources: the UP Office of Admissions course list, the UP System academic programmes index, and UP Cebu's own Citizen's Charter document. Those are the university's own publications, not aggregators, but they are one step removed from the campus pages. Confirm anything you are about to act on with the UP Cebu Office of the University Registrar.
The four academic units
UP Cebu groups its work under four colleges and schools:
- College of Communication, Art, and Design (CCAD)
- College of Science (CS)
- College of Social Sciences (CSS)
- School of Management (SoM)
There is also UP Cebu High School, and a set of research and service units including the Central Visayas Studies Center, the Science Research and Training Center, and the UP Cebu FabLab.
Undergraduate degree programmes
These are the UP Cebu entries on the UP Office of Admissions course list, with the course codes you use on the UPCAT application. The codes matter: you enter a number, not a programme name, and a wrong digit sends your application to a different campus.

Two conditions are attached to Bachelor of Fine Arts at Cebu, and the Office of Admissions marks both in its legend. Qualifiers must also pass a talent test. And qualifiers must choose either Product Design or Studio Arts as their area of concentration upon enrolment. If Fine Arts is your first choice, the talent test is not a formality you can leave until after results.
Unless a programme entry says otherwise, UP treats an undergraduate degree as ordinarily completed in four years.
The non-degree route into Fine Arts
The Office of Admissions also lists a Certificate in Fine Arts, Studio Arts, a three-year programme at Cebu, in the group of non-baccalaureate, certificate and associate programmes for which the UPCAT is not required.
That is a genuinely different entry path, and it is easy to miss because it sits in a separate table. If you want to study studio arts at UP Cebu and the UPCAT is not going your way, this is the programme to ask the registrar about.
Where two official UP pages disagree
The UP System academic programmes index and the UP Office of Admissions course list do not give the same UP Cebu list.
The academic programmes index shows UP Cebu against Biology, Computer Science, Fine Arts, Management, Mass Communication, Mathematics, Political Science and Psychology. It does not show UP Cebu against Accountancy, Statistics, Physical Education or Sports Science, all of which appear on the admissions course list. It also uses the name Mass Communication where the admissions list says BA Communication.
Neither page carries a version stamp that would let you tell which is more recent. The practical rule: the admissions course list is the document tied to an actual application cycle, with course codes that go on the form, so treat it as operative and confirm with the campus registrar. Do not assume a programme is closed because the index omits it, and do not assume one is open because the index includes it.
Graduate programmes
UP Cebu describes its South Road Properties campus as the home of UP Professional Schools, offering degree programmes including a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Science in Computer Science, a Master of Education, and a master of science in environmental studies.
UP Cebu's Citizen's Charter, fifth edition, adds detail on the College of Science side: master's programmes in Computer Science under the Department of Computer Science, in Environmental Studies under the Department of Biology and Environmental Science, and in Mathematics under the Office of Mathematics Programs. The same document's abbreviation legend renders the environmental programme as Master of Science in Environmental Science, while the body text calls it Environmental Studies. Ask the College of Science which title appears on the diploma before you put either on a scholarship application.
The Charter also documents graduate services for the Master of Education programme and an MBA bridge course, comprehensive examination and programme admission run by the School of Management.
The AI master's is a Diliman programme delivered in Cebu
The UP Office of the Vice President for Digital Transformation announced that the UP Diliman College of Engineering is offering a Master of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence at the UP Cebu campus, starting August 2025. The published shape of it: 31 units for graduation, completable in two years full-time or three years part-time, with prerequisites in differential and integral calculus, linear algebra and statistics plus proficiency in at least one programming language, and tuition for AI courses at PHP 4,500 per unit.
The distinction is not pedantic. Your degree, your admitting unit and your fees come from UP Diliman, not from UP Cebu, even though you study in Cebu.
Admission: it all runs through the UPCAT
There is no separate UP Cebu entrance test for degree programmes. The UPCAT is the single admission test for the whole UP System, and you indicate campus and course preferences on the application. You are competing for slots in a specific programme at a specific campus, which is why the course codes exist.
The practical implications are worth understanding before you fill anything in:
- Your campus and course preferences interact. Qualifying for UP is not the same as qualifying for the programme and campus you asked for. Our UPCAT qualification explained piece covers how that works.
- The application window and the test date move every cycle, and UP announces both on its official admissions site. Do not plan around a date you saw in a previous year's post. The UPCAT application guide sets out the steps and the documents.

For UP Cebu specifically, add the Fine Arts talent test to your planning if that is a preference, and note the Certificate in Fine Arts route that sits outside the UPCAT entirely.
Fees
UP Cebu is a constituent university of the University of the Philippines, a state university. Undergraduate tuition in state universities and colleges is governed by Republic Act 10931, the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, administered through CHED-UniFAST. Graduate and professional programmes sit outside that coverage and are charged per unit. The only per-unit figure published in the sources checked here is the PHP 4,500 rate for AI courses in the Diliman-run MEng AI programme. UP Cebu does not publish a general graduate fee table on the pages reachable at the time of writing, so ask the admitting unit directly.
