Courses Offered at STI College Santa Rosa

STI College Santa Rosa runs eight degree programmes, six senior high strands and two TESDA AI courses. That is noticeably narrower than the national STI catalogue, which is where most people start looking. Criminology, psychology, communication and the maritime degrees are all on the STI network list but not at this branch.

The mistake people make with STI is reading the national programme page and assuming their local campus offers all of it. STI runs 62 campuses and each one carries its own subset. Santa Rosa's page is specific, and the difference matters.

Address, phone and the campus profile are on our STI College Santa Rosa page, and other options in the city are on our schools in Santa Rosa listing.

What STI Santa Rosa actually offers

College programmes

  • BS Computer Science (BSCS)
  • BS Information Technology (BSIT)
  • BS Computer Engineering (BSCpE)
  • BS Business Administration (BSBA)
  • BS Accountancy (BSA)
  • BS Hospitality Management (BSHM)
  • Bachelor of Multimedia Arts (BMMA)
  • BS Tourism Management (BSTM)

Eight programmes, weighted heavily toward computing and business. That is a sensible mix for Santa Rosa specifically, since the campus sits in Balibago near the Laguna industrial and BPO corridor.

Only one of the eight, BS Accountancy, leads to a board exam. BS Computer Engineering does not have a licensure exam in the Philippines despite being an engineering degree, which surprises people every year. If licensure is your goal, this campus offers exactly one route to it.

Senior high school

Academic Track:

  • Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM)
  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
  • Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS)

Technical-Professional Track:

  • IT in Mobile App and Web Development
  • Tourism Operations
  • Culinary Arts

The campus DepEd senior high school ID is 402304, which is the number you need when applying for the senior high voucher. Our SHS voucher programme guide explains how the grant works and what it covers.

What each degree leads to

Worth being concrete, because the eight programmes split into three quite different destinations.

The computing three. BSCS is the theory-and-algorithms degree, BSIT is the applications-and-infrastructure degree, and BSCpE sits closest to hardware and embedded systems. All three feed the same local employers in the Laguna technology corridor, but they are not interchangeable on a curriculum level, and switching between them after first year usually costs units. Decide before you enrol, not after.

The business two. BS Accountancy is the only licensure route here and it is a demanding one; BSBA is broader and non-board. If the goal is a CPA licence, check the campus's own recent CPA board results before committing, and ask how many students the programme retains from first year to graduation, since accountancy programmes commonly shed students at the qualifying-exam stage.

Hospitality, tourism and multimedia. BSHM and BSTM are the two Santa Rosa runs from STI's hospitality and tourism side, and both are practical, placement-oriented degrees where the internship arrangement matters more than the syllabus. Ask which hotels, resorts and travel operators the campus places students with. Bachelor of Multimedia Arts is the outlier of the eight, a creative degree in a campus otherwise weighted to computing and business. Our BS Multimedia Arts guide covers where that qualification leads, and our BS Tourism vs Hospitality comparison covers the difference between the other two.

TESDA programmes

  • Data Collection and Annotation - Data Science-Artificial Intelligence (Level II)
  • AI Prompting and Automation (Level III)

These two are new additions across the STI network and they are short qualifications rather than degrees. Worth knowing that they exist, and worth not confusing them with a bachelor's programme. Our TESDA courses guide covers how the NC levels work and what employers actually do with them.

What this campus does not offer

This is the useful half. These programmes are on STI's national list but not on the Santa Rosa campus page:

Not at Santa RosaWhere it sits nationally
BS CriminologyCriminal Justice Education
BS Information SystemsInformation Technology
2-year IT and Associate in Computer TechnologyInformation Technology
BS Management Accounting, BS Accounting Information SystemBusiness and Management
BS Retail Technology and Consumer ScienceBusiness and Management
BS Culinary Management, 3-yr HRA, 2-yr HRSHospitality Management
BA Communication, BA PsychologyArts and Sciences
BSMT, BSMarE, BSNAMEMaritime

If you want any of these under the STI banner, you are looking at another campus. Calamba, Carmona, San Pablo, Tanauan and Lipa are the nearest STI branches to Santa Rosa, and each has its own page with its own list. Check the specific campus, not the national page.

Tuition: not published for this campus

STI does not publish per-campus tuition, and the Santa Rosa page carries no figures at all. Fees vary widely across the network. Our STI College tuition fee guide explains why the spread is so large and how the term system works, but it cannot give you a Santa Rosa number, because STI does not publish one.

What the network does publish is the financial assistance position: STI advertises tuition fee grants and scholarships, accepts the DepEd senior high voucher, and accepts the Tertiary Education Subsidy. The national marketing line is "No Top Up", with an asterisk noting that it varies per campus. That asterisk is doing real work. Ask Santa Rosa directly whether the voucher fully covers their senior high fees or whether there is a balance, and get the answer in writing.

Who this campus suits

A good fit if: you want a computing, business or hospitality degree, you value the industry-certification angle STI pushes through its CompTIA and Certiport partnerships, and you are in the Balibago area or along the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay corridor.

A poor fit if: you want criminology, psychology, communication, or a maritime degree, or if you want a two-year associate course. None of those are here.

Think carefully if: you are choosing BS Computer Engineering expecting a licensure path. It does not have one. Our BS Computer Science guide and our BS Computer Engineering guide cover how those computing degrees actually differ in curriculum and in what employers expect.

What the network layer adds, and what it does not

STI markets a set of network-wide systems rather than campus-specific ones, and it is worth knowing which of them are real commitments and which are branding.

The ONE STI Learning Model and the STI eLearning Management System are network platforms, so a Santa Rosa student gets the same portal, the same module delivery and the same student app as a student in Davao. The E2E, or Enrollment to Employment, System is STI's career-placement framework, and it is the one to press on locally: a nationwide system only helps if this campus has active local employer relationships. Ask the campus which companies actually hired their graduates in the last two batches.

STI also publishes network partnerships with CompTIA and Certiport, which matter specifically for the computing programmes because they can put an industry certification alongside the degree. Ask whether Santa Rosa runs the certification testing on campus, whether the exam voucher is included in fees or charged separately, and which certifications the current curriculum actually prepares you for. A partnership announced at head office is not the same as a testing centre in Balibago.

What to ask on a campus visit

Public Google reviews for this branch are mixed, with a rating in the low threes, and the specific recurring complaints are worth converting into direct questions rather than dismissing:

  1. Enrolment queueing and cashier capacity. Multiple reviews describe long single-cashier lines. Ask what the online enrolment and payment options are, and whether the campus accepts the network's alternative payment channels.
  2. Class cancellation notification. Ask how cancellations are communicated. If the answer is a Facebook page, ask whether there is anything more reliable.
  3. Diploma and document release timelines. At least one review complains about a month's delay after graduation. Ask for the campus's stated turnaround for Form 137, transcripts and diplomas.
  4. Night class availability. Reviews mention night classes for working students. STI's page does not confirm any schedule. Get the specific programme, section and term confirmed before enrolling on that basis.
  5. Library and network access. One review complains that the paid library WiFi blocks most sites. Ask what the content filtering policy is, since it affects research.

None of these are dealbreakers on their own. They are the sort of operational detail that decides whether four years is smooth or exhausting, and they are cheap to ask about in person.
