Miriam College Nuvali runs First Step through Grade 12 and nothing above that. There is no college department on this campus, despite the name. What it does have is one of the few Philippine private schools that publishes signed, itemised fee sheets for every level, which makes it unusually easy to budget for.
Miriam College Nuvali opened in 2014 on a 15-hectare site inside the Nuvali development in Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna. It is a campus of Miriam College, the Quezon City institution founded in 1926, and it carries the same values framework. It is also co-educational, which the Loyola Heights high school historically was not.
Address, phone and the profile are on our Miriam College - Nuvali page, and other options in the city are on our schools in Calamba listing.
The thing to get straight first: there is no college here
The campus is called Miriam College Nuvali, and its own homepage describes it as "a co-educational campus, welcoming boys and girls from Preschool through Senior High School". The academics menu has exactly four entries: Preschool, Grade School, Junior High School, Senior High School.
Undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programmes belong to Miriam College Loyola Heights in Quezon City, which the Nuvali site lists separately in its footer alongside the SDTEC and MC Co Teach units. If you are looking for a degree programme, you are looking at the Quezon City campus, not this one.
What each level covers
Preschool: First Step, Nursery, Kindergarten
Age requirements as published on the preschool page:
| Level | Requirement |
|---|---|
| First Step | 3 years old by 30 September |
| Nursery | 4 years old by 30 September |
| Kindergarten | 5 years old by 31 October |
Note that the campus FAQ page gives these as September for First Step, October for Nursery and October for Kinder, which does not quite match. Confirm the current cut-off with the admissions coordinator rather than assuming either version.
The preschool programme is built on an Integrated-Thematic Approach with named sub-programmes: an Early Math Program using a Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract sequence, a Lit Ladder early literacy programme, Project-Based Learning organised around themes such as Knowing Myself and Exploring My Community, and B.R.A.V.E. (Be Righteous And Virtuous Every day) for values formation.
One practical detail from the FAQ: for preschool, all school materials are included in the tuition fee. From Grades 1 to 12, you get a supplies list at enrolment and buy them yourself. Our preschool checklist covers what else to compare.
Grade School, Grades 1 to 6
The curriculum is the DepEd MATATAG curriculum with the Miriam College Educational Framework layered on top. Subjects listed: Math, Science, English, Filipino, Makabansa and Araling Panlipunan, CLE-GMRC, plus Music, Arts, PE, Health, Computer and HELE. The school names PRIME Mathematics as its maths programme and Google Workspace for Education as its technology platform.
Junior High School, Grades 7 to 10
Six core subjects and six special subjects. Core: CLE integrated with Values Education, English, Filipino, Araling Panlipunan, Mathematics, Science. Special: Music, Art, PE, Health, TLE and Computer studies.
The TLE sequence is specific: Grades 7 and 8 cover carpentry, electrical maintenance, handicrafts, dressmaking and food processing; Grades 9 and 10 move to advanced cooking and entrepreneurship. Computer studies includes web design, desktop publishing and robotics programming.
The level also advertises foreign language courses and local and international student exchange, including academic benchmarking, cultural immersion, social outreach and leadership training. The school's news pages document actual trips: a June 2025 visit to Providence University in Taichung, Taiwan, and a May-June overseas attachment in Tokyo.
Senior High School, Grades 11 to 12: the pathways change
This is the part that has moved, and it is the reason to read the school's own page rather than a directory.
Miriam College Nuvali no longer presents senior high as STEM, ABM and HUMSS. It presents two pathways:
Leadership and Society Pathway combines targeted HUMSS and ABM subjects, with training in communication, social understanding, decision-making and basic management. The school positions it toward college in social sciences, public administration, business and communication.
Humanized Sciences Pathway combines STEM and HUMSS subjects, applying scientific method to social questions, community needs and human behaviour. The school positions it toward psychology, public health, education, environmental studies and human-centred research.
The school's published fee sheets still carry separate Grade 12 sheets for ABM, HUMSS and STEM, which is consistent with a cohort already partway through the old structure while incoming Grade 11 students enter the new pathways.
This matters for university applications. If you are aiming at a degree with a hard science prerequisite, ask the school directly and in writing which specific subjects the Humanized Sciences pathway covers and whether it satisfies the entry requirements of the universities you have in mind. Our guide to SHS tracks and strands explains why strand choice constrains college options, and best SHS strand by job demand covers the other side of the decision.
The published fees
Miriam College Nuvali publishes signed tuition and fee sheets for every level in its Parents' Corner. These are the SY 2026-2027 figures, Plan A, one payment upon enrolment:
| Level | Tuition | Basic fees | Misc fees | Other fees | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kindergarten | ₱92,837 | ₱10,233 | ₱18,084 | ₱9,700 | ₱130,854 |
| Grade 1 | ₱92,631 | ₱12,120 | ₱16,646 | ₱9,700 | ₱131,097 |
| Grade 7 | ₱89,142 | ₱14,822 | ₱19,950 | ₱9,700 | ₱133,614 |
| Grade 11 | ₱89,557 | ₱18,723 | ₱24,405 | ₱9,700 | ₱142,385 |
Tuition is roughly two-thirds of the bill. The rest is fees, and the fee list is long and itemised: guidance, library and audio-visual, medical and dental, registration, athletics, social action, student activities, instructional supplies, e-learning tools, laboratory, drug test, cultural enrichment, recollection or retreat, locker, connectivity, student council, regular club, class picture, ID, accident insurance, PTA, energy fee, institutional development fund, improvement of learning spaces, and integrated systems fee.
Spreading payments costs more
Four plans are published. Using Grade 11 for SY 2026-2027:
| Plan | Schedule | Total |
|---|---|---|
| A | One payment on enrolment | ₱142,385 |
| B | Two payments | ₱145,235 |
| C | Four payments | ₱145,434 |
| D | Eight payments | ₱146,178 |
The gap between paying once and paying eight times is ₱3,793 for one year, about 2.7 percent. Over twelve years of schooling that is not nothing, but it is a much smaller spread than many private schools charge for instalments.
A note on every sheet: the paid non-refundable reservation fee is deducted from the amount due upon enrolment.
How admission works
The published sequence:
Step 1A. Download and complete the application form, student health record form, recommendation form from the class adviser and recommendation form from the guidance counsellor. Both recommendation forms go in a sealed envelope signed across the flap. Additional forms as applicable: parent questionnaire for preschool, waiver for non-Catholics, assessment and therapy history form, and homeschool accreditation certification for applicants from programmes based abroad.
Step 1B. Secure certified true copies of the most recent report card and the previously completed grade level's report card, the original PSA birth certificate, a clear copy of the baptismal certificate for Catholics, and one 2x2 recent colour ID photo. A photocopy of NCAE results is requested for Grade 10 and 11 applicants if available. A PEPT certificate is required for applicants from DepEd non-accredited schools.
Step 1C. For students who studied abroad, an authenticated original transcript with English translation, English-translated report cards, a certification of promotion from the previous school, passport and visa copies for parents and student, ACR or I-Card, the BI CGAF form provided by the school, and a certificate of recognition as a Filipino for dual citizens.
Step 2. Submit everything at the admissions window, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm. After the staff review and encode the application, pay the ₱700 non-refundable application fee at the cashier.
Step 3. Present the receipt and receive the admissions test schedule, or the assessment schedule for preschool.
Step 4. Sit the test or assessment on time.
Step 5. The decision letter arrives by email within 10 working days, provided the complete requirements were submitted.
Step 6. Pay the reservation fee by the deadline in the decision letter to hold the slot until enrolment.
The condition attached to step 5 is the one that catches people: the 10-day clock only runs if everything was submitted. An incomplete file quietly stalls.
Practical details worth knowing
School year. Classes typically start in the first week of August and end in the first week of May, with a two-week Christmas break and a one-week semester break. That is later than the DepEd public school calendar; see our DepEd school calendar guide for the comparison.
School hours. First Step 7:45-10:30am, Nursery 7:45-10:45am, Kinder 7:45-11:15am, Grades 1-2 7:30am-12:15pm, Grades 3-4 7:30am-2:30pm, Grades 5-6 7:30am-3:10pm, Grades 7-12 7:50am-3:20pm.
Transport. The school does not run its own buses. It maintains a list of accredited bus operators by area, released at the Parents' Orientation or on request from the admissions coordinator.
Getting there. The campus is reachable from several SLEX exits: Greenfield City, Unilab and Mamplasan for secured access, plus Sta. Rosa, Eton City-Greenfield, Silangan and Calamba.
The campus itself. Two buildings by architects Daniel Lichauco and Jose "Bong" Recio house student activity centres, a covered court, library, multi-purpose hall, laboratories, dining facilities and a chapel. Half the land is kept as open space. The chapel has floor-to-ceiling glass walls and a bronze, copper and aluminium crucifix by Ana Pamintuan.
