Batangas College of Arts and Sciences runs pre-school through college on one campus in Lipa City, with five college programmes and three senior high strands as of its last published list. Its website domain no longer resolves, so everything below comes from the school's own archived pages, and every figure needs confirming by phone before you plan around it.
BCAS is a young school by Philippine standards. It opened in June 2000 with 19 students. Twenty-five years later it covers pre-kindergarten to college on a campus of more than three hectares. That growth curve is the most useful thing to know about it, because it explains both the strengths and the gaps in what it offers.

The website situation
The domain bcas.edu.ph does not resolve in DNS. Not a 404, not a timeout: there is no address record at all. Archived copies show the domain serving a cPanel suspended-account page as early as January 2022, returning intermittently through 2024 and 2025, and now gone.
Everything below is drawn from archived copies of the school's own site: department pages and the enrolment procedure from 2021, and a course graphic, an admissions poster and a college fee schedule from 2023. The school's landline, (043) 756 1232, appears consistently across those pages and on our profile, along with an annex number, (043) 784 6071, and a mobile number, 0977 757 2924, from the 2023 poster.
College programmes
The most recent published list, from the SY 2023-2024 general admissions poster:
- BS Information Technology (BSIT)
- Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd)
- Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd)
- BS Business Administration (BSBA)
- BS Accountancy (BSA)
The school's separate college course graphic gives the majors: BSEd in English, Mathematics and Science; BSBA in Marketing Management and Human Resource Management.
That is a small, deliberately focused catalogue. The history page explains why. BCAS opened its college department in SY 2006-2007 specifically to train teachers for its own basic education departments, starting with BEEd, BSEd and BSIT. Accountancy and business came later. There is no engineering, no nursing, no criminology and no hospitality programme.
Three of the five lead to a licensure examination: BEEd and BSEd through the Licensure Examination for Teachers, and BS Accountancy through the CPA board. BSIT and BSBA do not. The school's history page claims a 100 percent passing rate for its first batch of BEEd graduates who took the board in September 2013. That is a real claim about a real cohort, and it is also more than a decade old. Ask for the last three years of LET results, first-time takers only.
The education programme has a hard retention rule
This is the detail that would change a decision, and it is buried on the old college department page rather than in the admissions material.
BCAS publishes a Grade Requirement Policy for Education Students with these thresholds:
- First year, before admission to second year: no grade below 2.50, general weighted average not lower than 2.25, excluding NSTP and PE, plus a satisfactory rating on an evaluation of desirable traits for the programme.
- Second year: same grade thresholds, plus the traits evaluation, plus passing an interview evaluating communication skills.
- Third and fourth year: a student who fails to maintain the grade requirement may be retained, but must pass a Mock Licensure Examination for Teachers before being allowed to sit the actual PRC exam.
The policy states plainly that failure to comply means being dropped from the programme.
Retention policies like this are how schools protect their board passing rates, and they are entirely legitimate. But you should know before you enrol that a 2.6 in one subject in first year can end the programme for you here. Ask for the current version of this policy in writing.
Senior high school and basic education
The SY 2023-2024 poster lists three senior high academic strands: STEM, HUMSS and ABM. No technical-vocational or sports track appeared.
Below that, BCAS runs a Pre-school and Elementary Department, a Junior High School Department and a Senior High School Department. The junior high page describes two curricula, Science-Math and Regular, which is worth asking about since streamed curricula are becoming less common.

The last published college fee schedule
BCAS published a full schedule of college fees for AY 2023-2024, first semester, broken down by programme and year level. First-year figures:

The schedule offered payment of tuition in three equal instalments, and carried a note that tuition may vary depending on the number of units enrolled for the semester. Later year levels drop the NSTP line and change the tuition figures, generally peaking in second or third year and falling in fourth.
These are 2023 figures from an archived page. They tell you the scale of the school, which is genuinely useful: a first-year semester in the ₱17,000 to ₱21,000 range puts BCAS at the affordable end of private colleges in Batangas. They are not a current quote and should not be treated as one.
Scholarships
BCAS published detailed scholarship terms for junior and senior high school. The structure:

Senior high adds a fifth tier at 15 percent off tuition for an average of 90.
Separately, an entrance scholarship for honour graduates coming from other schools ran at 100 percent for With Highest Honors, 75 percent for With High Honors, and 50 or 25 percent for With Honors, each with its own retention average.
Two conditions worth reading twice. Honour graduates from a batch of fewer than 50 students must take a qualifying examination, needing 85 percent for a full scholarship and 83 percent for a partial one. And scholarship grants cover only the amount payable after deducting any ESC or senior high voucher amount you already receive, so the two do not stack the way people expect. The enrolment procedure the school published
For basic education, on-site:
- Submit a photocopy of the report card with grades up to the second or third grading period, bring the original for verification, plus one 2x2 photo with the name on the back, and fill out the application form at Window 1 or 2.
- Pay a testing and admission processing fee of ₱200 at the Cashier, Window 3.
- Submit the exam receipt to the examiner before taking the entrance exam.
- Results are available after three working days.
- Report for an interview on the specified date, bringing the original report card and a Good Moral Certificate.
- Enrol, or reserve a slot valid to 30 April. Reservation fee ₱1,500, non-refundable but deductible from the entrance fee.
- For incoming Grade 7, submit an ITR, Certificate of Tax Exemption or barangay certificate for the ESC application; Grades 8 to 10 submit the existing ESC certificate.
That is a genuine entrance exam plus interview process, not a formality. Budget for the ₱200 test fee and the three-day wait.
