Young Achievers International School

Young Achievers International School, Inc. (YAIS) is a private, non-sectarian K-12 school in DBP Farms Subdivision, Pulang Lupa, Las Pinas City. It was established in 1994 by founder Edna J. Ocampo, a former banker with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Santo Tomas, and traces its roots to JICC Nihongo Gakko, a school affiliated with the Embassy of Japan. YAIS offers Pre-school, complete Elementary and Secondary education, and Senior High School with Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) and General Academic (GAS) tracks, with all levels recognized by the Department of Education. A distinguishing feature is its Nihongo (Japanese) language program, taught from Grade 5 through Grade 12, supported by a student exchange partnership with Tokyo Metropolitan Kokusai High School. The school follows a science-oriented core curriculum in English, Mathematics, Science and Civics, and was named Most Outstanding Science Integrated School in the Las Pinas City Awards in June 2006. Senior High School students complete on-the-job training, and the school also runs community service initiatives such as coastal cleanups and animal welfare support.
