St. Scholastica's Academy of Marikina

St. Scholastica's Academy of Marikina (SSAM) is a Catholic school for young women run by the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing, located in Marikina Heights, Marikina City. It opened on June 5, 1961 with 62 pupils and was blessed by Cardinal Rufino J. Santos later that year. SSAM originally admitted boys at the kindergarten level, but this practice ended in 1985 as the school shifted its focus fully to educating girls. Today it offers Junior High School and Senior High School under the DepEd K-12 curriculum. SSAM is PAASCU-accredited and is a member of the Coordinating Council of Private Educational Associations of the Philippines (CEAP) and the Association of Benedictine Schools. Its Benedictine education emphasizes academic excellence, character formation, and lifelong learning under the motto "Ora et Labora" (prayer and work). The school runs an online admission application portal and a student portal for enrolled students. Sister M. Rosalina Fajardo, OSB currently serves as the school's Directress.
