Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School
Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School in Cagayan de Oro was founded by Victoria B. Neri and formally inaugurated on September 25, 1982, by Preciosa S. Soliven of the O.B. Montessori Center. It is recognized locally as the first genuine Montessori school established in Cagayan de Oro City, following a program patterned after the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) method. The school began in a two-classroom building on J.R. Borja Extension in Gusa and later expanded into a three-storey campus as enrollment grew; in 1992 it was cited as one of the top five schools in Cagayan de Oro City.
