Pangasinan State University-Asingan Campus

The Asingan campus of Pangasinan State University began in 1962 as an annex of Binalonan High School, housed in the buildings of the defunct Pacifican Institute of Asingan. A permanent site came through a donation from the family of the late Concha Miguel, and in 1963 the annex separated from its parent school to become Asingan High School in its own right. It was subsequently converted into the Asingan School of Arts and Trades under the Bureau of Vocational Education, a shift that set the technical direction the campus still follows. From there it expanded upward, adding a post-secondary Associate in Industrial Technology and then degree programmes including the Bachelor in Industrial Technology. Within the present Pangasinan State University system, Asingan and Urdaneta are the campuses most associated with engineering and technology offerings, and the campus continues to serve eastern Pangasinan from its position along the road network linking Binalonan, Urdaneta and Santa Maria.
