Isabela State University, Roxas

Isabela State University was established by Presidential Decree No. 1434 on 10 June 1978. A second wave of expansion came in 2002, when three CHED-Supervised Institutions were integrated into the system: the Roxas Memorial Agricultural and Industrial School at Roxas, the Delfin Albano Memorial Institute of Agriculture and Technology at San Mariano, and the Angadanan Agro-Industrial College at Angadanan. The Roxas campus was the Roxas Memorial Agricultural and Industrial School before its integration. Note that a school of the same name at San Mateo was among the institutions whose college courses were transferred to the university at its founding in 1978, so the Roxas Memorial name appears at two points in the university's history and at two different sites. Roxas is in the northern part of Isabela along the Cagayan Valley corridor, and the combined agricultural and industrial mandate in the predecessor school's name continues to describe the campus's orientation.
