Academia de San Jose is a Roman Catholic school operated by the Archdiocese of Cebu, founded on January 29, 1964 by Msgr. Jose A. Alojipan at the request of Archbishop Julio Cardinal Rosales, with the ICM Religious Sisters helping prepare its first academic year. It is located on Sotero B. Cabahug Street, Barangay Centro, Mandaue City. The school offers elementary, junior high and senior high school (the senior high program began in school year 2015-2016). It holds PAASCU Level I accreditation (awarded November 2014) and was re-accredited at PAASCU Level II in December 2017. Campus facilities include the Giuseppean Covered Court, the Oratory of St. Joseph, and school bus service. The school transitioned to Archdiocesan management in 2003 and rebuilt after damage from Typhoon Odette in December 2021.

No freedom of expression, no freedom of choice, no anything in this school. Expensive tuition but school service and system is bullcrap. Only good thing here are the teachers making the school somewhat bearable so kudos to them. - a previous student.

This school is so bad, students often vape on restrooms, many students have bad influences, bullying is very common here in this school, almost no student speaks english here which makes their english rule very useless in this school, school acts like a public school because students are just chaotic. Worst school ive ever been as a student, other students from higher grades do bad things on restrooms. The only good thing in this school is they have air conditioning on classrooms, dont go to this school!!! Not recommended.
