The University of Southeastern Philippines publishes its programme list one college at a time rather than in a single master catalogue. That makes it easy to miss half the university. Below is everything the twelve degree-granting units put on their own academic-programs pages, grouped the way USeP groups it, with the campus each unit sits on.
For the address, contact numbers and level flags, see the University of Southeastern Philippines profile. This post is only about what you can actually study there.
The short version
USeP runs twelve degree-granting units across four campuses: Obrero (the main campus in Davao City), Mintal, Tagum-Mabini and the Malabog extension campus. Engineering, education, business, agriculture and computing are the deepest areas. Law and medicine both exist as separate schools with their own entry routes.
The single most useful thing to know before you apply: a programme belongs to a college, and the college belongs to a campus. USeP does not offer every course everywhere.
College of Engineering
Nine undergraduate programmes, which makes this the broadest engineering line-up of any unit in the university.
Programme
---
BS Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering
BS Civil Engineering
BS Electrical Engineering
BS Electronics Engineering
BS Geodetic Engineering
BS Geology
BS Mechanical Engineering
BS Mining Engineering
BS Sanitary Engineering
Graduate: Master of Science in Engineering, major in Land and Water Resources Engineering and Technology.
All nine lead to a Professional Regulation Commission licensure examination, including Geology, which has its own Geologist Licensure Examination. If you are weighing these against each other, our BS Civil Engineering guide explains how the board-exam path works and generalises to the rest.
College of Education (Obrero)
Undergraduate:
- Bachelor of Secondary Education
- Bachelor of Elementary Education
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
- Bachelor of Special Needs Education
- Bachelor of Physical Education
- Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education, major in Home Economics
- Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education
Graduate work here is unusually deep. USeP lists two PhDs (Educational Leadership and Management; English Language Teaching), an EdD in Educational Management flagged as an old programme, and master's degrees in Alternative Learning System, Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership and Management, Special Needs Education, English Language Teaching, Mathematics Education and Science Education, plus two more marked as old programmes.
Every one of the undergraduate teacher-education degrees feeds the Licensure Examination for Teachers. See the BSEd guide for what each major actually qualifies you to teach.
College of Teacher Education and Technology (Tagum-Mabini)
This is a separate unit from the College of Education, and its list is not identical:
- Bachelor of Elementary Education
- Bachelor of Special Needs Education (Generalist)
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
- Bachelor of Secondary Education, majors in English, Mathematics and Filipino
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, specialising in Information Security
- Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education, majors in Agricultural Crop Production and Animal Production
Note the BSIT with an Information Security specialisation sitting inside a teacher-education college. That is a Tagum-Mabini offering and it is not the same programme as the one in the College of Information and Computing.
College of Arts and Sciences
- Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Cultural Studies
- Bachelor of Arts in English Language, major in Applied Linguistics
- BS Biology
- BS Mathematics
- BS Statistics
Graduate: MA Literature, MA Applied Linguistics, MS Applied Mathematics, MS Biology.
College of Business Administration
- BS Business Administration, major in Financial Management
- BS Hospitality Management
- BS Entrepreneurship
- BS Accountancy
Graduate: Master of Business Administration (including an eMBA track) and a Doctor of Philosophy programme.
Accountancy is the one here with a licensure exam attached. If you are choosing between it and the general business degrees, the BS Accountancy guide explains what the CPA route costs in time.
College of Information and Computing
- BS Information Technology
- BS Computer Science
- Bachelor of Library and Information Science
Graduate: Master of Library and Information Science, Master in Information Technology, Doctor in Information Technology.
A doctorate in IT at a regional state university is not common. Librarianship is also worth flagging because it does lead to a PRC board exam, which surprises people who assume it does not.
College of Agriculture and Related Sciences
- BS Agriculture, with seven majors: Animal Science, Agronomy, Entomology, Enterprise Management, Horticulture, Plant Pathology and Soil Science
- BS Forestry
Graduate: PhD Horticulture; MS Forestry; MS Agriculture with majors in Agronomy, Animal Science, Crop Protection, Horticulture and Soil Science; MS Agricultural Extension; MS Environmental and Resource Management.
College of Development Management (Mintal)
- BS Agricultural Economics
- BS Agricultural Business
- BS Community Development
- Bachelor of Public Administration
- BS Development Anthropology
Development Anthropology as a standalone bachelor's degree is rare in the Philippines. So is a dedicated Agricultural Economics degree separate from general Economics.
College of Applied Economics
- BS Economics, with specialisations in Development Economics, Monetary and Financial Economics, and Resource and Environmental Economics
- Master of Science in Economics
College of Technology
- BS Industrial Technology
- Master of Technology Education
- Master of Industrial Technology
School of Law
USeP announced the offering of a Juris Doctor thesis programme at the Obrero campus. That is the only degree the School of Law page names. Law admission runs through the Legal Education Board framework and the school's own screening, not through the undergraduate admission test.
School of Medicine
USeP describes its School of Medicine as the first and currently the only state-run medical school in Region XI, and its page refers to CHED evaluation of the Doctor of Medicine programme. Medical admission is a separate track requiring an NMAT result and a completed bachelor's degree.
How admission works
Undergraduate entry runs through the USeP Admission Test (USePAT), applied for online at register.usep.edu.ph. From what USeP publishes:
- Documents. Grade 11 permanent record with a GPA of at least 85%, Grade 12 permanent record with a GPA of at least 85%, a recent passport-size photo and school ID picture, a PSA-authenticated birth certificate, and income documentation (an ITR or a barangay certificate of low income). Transferees add a transcript of records with GWA. Solo Parent ID, PWD ID, NCIP certification and OWWA OFW e-card are accepted where applicable.
- Process. Register and upload, wait roughly three to seven days, log back in to check status, then download and print the Permit to Take the Test. On test day you present the printed permit to the room examiner.
- How you are ranked. USeP states that the official result combines the USePAT standard score, the Senior High School GWA, and whether your academic track matches your chosen priority course. Raw scores are not released to applicants.
- After results. Programmes that still have slots are posted on campus and on the university website until they fill. Shifting is only allowed after the first semester of first year.
The application window opens and closes on dates USeP announces each cycle on its news page and admission portal. Do not plan around a date you read anywhere else, including here. Check register.usep.edu.ph. For a general sense of how state-university entrance tests compare, see our entrance exams comparison.
What USeP does not publish
Three gaps are worth knowing about before you commit time to an application.
No consolidated programme catalogue. There is no single page listing every USeP degree. You have to visit twelve college sites. That is why lists on aggregator sites drift out of date, and why this post is organised by college rather than alphabetically.
No readable fee schedule. The Tuition and Other Fees page posts its schedules as images, so the amounts cannot be read from the page text and cannot be quoted responsibly. As a state university, USeP is covered by Republic Act 10931, which makes tuition and other school fees free for qualified Filipino undergraduates in SUCs. The law does not cover books, transport, board or living costs, and it excludes students who already hold a bachelor's degree. Our free tuition guide explains what is and is not covered.
No published USePAT coverage or cut-off scores. USeP does not post a subject breakdown, item count or per-programme cut-off. Applicants are told the official result is a composite, not a raw score. Treat any "USePAT passing score" you find online as unverified.
Choosing between the campuses
If you want engineering, computing, business, arts and sciences, applied economics, law or medicine, you are looking at Obrero. Development management is Mintal. Teacher education and technology is Tagum-Mabini, with its own separate programme list. Agriculture and forestry sit with the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences.
Because your USePAT result is weighted partly on whether your Senior High School track matches your priority course, the track you took in Grade 11 and 12 matters more here than at schools that only look at a score. If you are still choosing, start with SHS tracks and strands explained.
