Courses Offered at University of Cebu

Courses Offered at University of Cebu

University of Cebu does not have one course list. It has a course list per campus, and they differ enough that applying to the wrong one wastes a cycle. Marine transportation is at two campuses and not at the others. Nursing is at some and not all. Real estate management appears at exactly one.

Here is what UC publishes campus by campus, what could not be verified at the time of writing, and how the live enrolment portal actually works. Address, contacts and level flags are on the University of Cebu - Main Campus profile.

Read this before the lists

The main uc.edu.ph site is currently serving a maintenance page. The campus pages that carry the course lists are only reachable through archived copies, and the most recent archived copies of those pages date from July 2024.

So: the lists below are UC's own published lists, not an aggregator's, but they are roughly two years old. Treat them as the shape of what each campus runs, not as a guaranteed intake list for this cycle. Two parts of UC's estate are still live and current, and they are used where relevant below: the online enrolment portal at enrollment.uc.edu.ph, and the School of Medicine site.

One campus could not be verified at all. The Banilad campus page is not present in the archive, and the live site is down, so no programme list for Banilad appears here. A short accurate list beats a long guessed one.

ETEEAP fields

UC lists Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Commerce, Criminology and Hospitality Management as fields available through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program. That is the route for working professionals seeking credit for documented experience.

TESDA programmes at Main cover assessment in bread and pastry production, bartending, cookery, food and beverage services, food and other services, food processing and housekeeping, with training offered in cookery, housekeeping, food and other services, technical drafting and trainers methodology level I.

Two entries here are worth flagging because they are uncommon. BS Real Estate Management is a licensed profession route and is not offered at most universities. BS Customs Administration leads to the customs broker licensure examination; see our BS Customs Administration guide.

UC Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue, A. C. Cortes Avenue, Mandaue City

  • Bachelor of Elementary Education

Note the differences from Main: nursing is here, marine engineering and marine transportation are here, and civil engineering is not. The information technology programme is explicitly ladderised through an Associate in Computer Technology curriculum, which matters if you may need an exit qualification partway through.

UC Maritime Education and Training Center, Alumnos Street, Cebu City

  • BS Marine Engineering
  • BS Marine Transportation
  • BS Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
  • Seafarer Catering and Stewarding Course

Senior high school at METC runs pre-baccalaureate maritime specialisation and TVL maritime specialisation alongside the standard academic strands, which is the intended feeder into the degrees. TESDA offerings here are industrial: welding assessments in GMAW, GTAW, SMAW and flux cored arc welding, scaffolding works, pipefitting metallic, cookery and ship's catering services.

Maritime degrees are governed by their own regulatory layer, not just CHED. See the BS Marine Transportation guide and the BS Marine Engineering guide for how licensing and sea service work.

UC Pardo and Talisay, N. Bacalso Avenue, Cebu City

  • Bachelor of Elementary Education, general education
  • Bachelor of Secondary Education, majors in English, Mathematics and Science
  • BS Criminology
  • BS Information Technology
  • BS Nursing
  • Diploma in Midwifery Program
  • Health Care Services NC II

The newest campus in the group and the shortest list. If you live in the south of the city, this is the one to check first, but confirm the current intake because a short list changes proportionally more when one programme opens or closes.

School of Medicine

The University of Cebu School of Medicine runs its own site and its own admission process. UC states that it was established in 2015 alongside the newly opened University of Cebu Medical Center. It publishes an application process, a curriculum page, an academic calendar and a scholarship page separately from the undergraduate campuses, so do not look for it in the campus course lists.

What UC's site navigation adds

UC's site navigation, in the archived copies, also carries college-structured menus that include units not visible in the campus course blocks: a College of Medical Technology with BS Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science, a College of Nursing and Midwifery, and a School of Law offering a Juris Doctor in thesis and non-thesis forms plus a Master of Laws.

Those menus do not label which campus each unit belongs to, which is exactly the ambiguity the maintenance outage makes impossible to resolve right now. If medical technology, midwifery or law is your target, contact the college directly and ask which campus delivers it. Do not infer it from a course directory.

Admission and enrolment, from the live portal

This part is current. UC's online enrolment application system at enrollment.uc.edu.ph was live and showing enrolment for the first semester of school year 2026-2027 as ongoing when checked.

The published sequence is: submit the application online, select courses or class schedules, pay and upload payment slips or receipts, then download the official study load. The portal states plainly that new applicants pay only the registration fee of PHP 500.00, and that a student or applicant can hold only one account.

Requirements for new enrollees, as listed on the portal:

  • New students who are senior high school graduates: Form 138, certificate of good moral character, and a photocopy of the PSA or NSO live birth certificate. In the absence of some of those, the portal accepts a school ID, third periodical grades or a certificate of graduation.
  • New students in the Grade 10 high school graduate category: Form 138, good moral character, and a photocopy of the PSA or NSO live birth certificate.
  • ALS or PEPT passers: the ALS or PEPT certificate and a photocopy of the PSA or NSO live birth certificate.
  • Transferees: a photocopy of the honorable dismissal or proof of filing with a claim slip, plus a transcript of records for evaluation, good moral character, and a PSA photocopy.
  • Cross-enrollees: a photocopy of the permit to cross-enrol.

One programme-specific requirement is named: BS Accountancy applicants must upload an entrance examination test result. No other programme is flagged that way on the portal, which does not mean no other programme tests. Ask the college registrar.

The portal also notes that where physical contact is possible, all original documents must be submitted to the College Registrar's Office. Criminology applicants in particular should confirm any physical, medical or interview requirements with the college, since those are common in the field but are not on the enrolment portal page; our BS Criminology guide covers what the programme and its licensure examination involve.

Fees

UC does not publish a tuition schedule on any of the pages reachable at the time of writing. The only figure stated publicly is the PHP 500.00 registration fee for new applicants on the enrolment portal, and the portal links separately to payment guides.

That is not much to plan a budget on. For a sense of where private university costs in Cebu generally sit, and how to ask for a proper per-semester assessment, see our Cebu private school tuition guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What courses are offered at University of Cebu?

It depends on the campus. UC publishes a separate course list for each of its campuses, and they are not the same. The Main campus on Sanciangko Street carries the widest college list, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue adds maritime programmes, the Maritime Education and Training Center is maritime only, and Pardo and Talisay carries a short list built around education, criminology, IT and nursing.

How many campuses does University of Cebu have?

Its own site lists five under the campuses menu: Main, Banilad, Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue, the Maritime Education and Training Center, and Pardo and Talisay. There is also a School of Medicine and a School of Law, each with its own site.

Does University of Cebu offer maritime courses?

Yes, at two campuses. The Maritime Education and Training Center on Alumnos Street publishes BS Marine Engineering, BS Marine Transportation, BS Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and a Seafarer Catering and Stewarding Course. The Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue campus separately publishes BS Marine Engineering and BS Marine Transportation.

Does University of Cebu have a medical school?

Yes. The University of Cebu School of Medicine was established in 2015 alongside the University of Cebu Medical Center, and it runs its own site and admission process separate from the undergraduate campuses.

How much is the University of Cebu enrolment fee?

The live UC online enrolment portal instructs new applicants to pay only a registration fee of PHP 500.00. That is the registration step, not tuition. UC does not publish a tuition schedule on its public pages.

What documents do I need to enrol at University of Cebu?

For new students who are senior high school graduates, the portal lists Form 138, a certificate of good moral character, and a photocopy of the PSA or NSO live birth certificate, with a school ID, third periodical grades or a certificate of graduation accepted in the absence of some of those. Transferees submit an honorable dismissal or proof of filing plus a transcript for evaluation, good moral character, and a PSA copy.

Is there an entrance exam at University of Cebu?

The enrolment portal names one requirement explicitly: BS Accountancy applicants must upload an entrance examination test result. Other programmes are not flagged the same way on that page, so ask the college registrar whether a test applies to the programme you want.

Why is it hard to find the University of Cebu course list?

Because the main uc.edu.ph site is serving a maintenance page at the time of writing, and the campus pages that hold the course lists are only reachable through archived copies. The enrolment portal at enrollment.uc.edu.ph and the School of Medicine site are still live.
