CSA Makati runs an online-only application with an onsite test on a fixed weekly timetable by grade level. The published bar is an 85 percent general average and a conduct grade of at least B, with an extra 82 percent floor in Science 10 and Math 10 for STEM applicants. Tuition is not published anywhere on the school's site.
Colegio San Agustin Makati is the Augustinian Catholic school on Palm Avenue in Dasmariñas Village, running Early Childhood Education through Grade 12 for roughly 3,500 students from more than 40 nationalities. What follows is how the application actually runs, in order, and where the school's published rules will trip you up.
Step 1: apply online, because there is no other route
CSA states plainly that all applications are online and that walk-ins are accommodated only for assistance. There is no paper track. The online application for AY 2026-2027 sits behind the Apply Now button on the admissions page.
Processing is first-come, first-served. That is stated as policy, not as a marketing line, so an application filed in October is genuinely ahead of one filed in January for the same level.
Step 2: check the two hard numbers before you pay anything
CSA publishes exactly two numeric bars in its admission guidelines, and both are worth checking against your child's actual report card before you spend the application fee.
- General average of at least 85 percent.
- Conduct grade not lower than B, or the equivalent on your current school's scale.
- Grade 11 STEM applicants only: at least 82 percent final grade in both Science 10 and Math 10.
That last one is the one families miss. An 85 general average clears the school, but a 79 in Science 10 closes STEM specifically. If your child is short on one of those two subjects, apply for ABM, HUMSS or GAS and ask whether an internal shift is possible after Grade 11.
Step 3: assemble the documents
Everything is submitted digitally.
All applicants
- Accomplished Student Admission Application Form (SAAF)
- 2x2 recent photograph
- Receipt of payment for the application fee
- Letters of recommendation from the adviser, teacher and/or guidance counsellor, sent directly to the chosen evaluator
That last item is the scheduling risk. The recommendation letters do not pass through you; they go from the referee to the evaluator. Ask your child's adviser early, because a referee who takes three weeks holds up the whole file.
Filipino applicants add
- PSA birth certificate
- Report card for the current grade level, with the LRN
- Transcript of records, evaluation copy, Grades 6 to 11
Foreign applicants add
- Birth certificate from the country of origin with an authenticated English translation
- Transcript or report card for the current level, authenticated English translation
- Passport biopage with expiry date
CSA reserves the right to request more on a case-by-case basis, and states that all submitted credentials become the property of the Office of Admissions. Step 4: check the age cut-off if you are applying to early years
CSA applies DepEd Order No. 47, s. 2016 as amended by D.O. No. 20, s. 2018, with a cut-off date of October 31, 2026.

Two exceptions are published. A child turning 5 between November 1 and December 31 may still apply for senior kinder if they have completed an ECCD or pre-kinder level and submit a certificate of completion, progress report or report card. Grade 1 applicants must have completed kindergarten and hold an LRN from a DepEd-accredited school.
Step 5: turn up on your level's testing day
Testing is onsite and runs weekly on a fixed timetable rather than by appointment. This is the detail most worth planning around.

Grade 11 is the constraint. Two testing windows a month means missing one costs you a fortnight, and with first-come-first-served processing that can matter. Results are confidential and used as an internal evaluation tool, so do not expect a score breakdown.

The two subsidies CSA actually processes
CSA's registrar handles both DepEd private-school subsidies, and the routes are different.
ESC (Educational Service Contracting) is open only to incoming Grade 7 students. You apply through the school with a letter of intent addressed to the high school principal, a copy of the final report card, a 1x1 ID picture, proof of parents' income, and the accomplished ESC application form.
SHS Voucher Programme is open only to incoming Grade 11 students, and you do not apply through CSA. You apply on the PEAC OVAP website yourself. Successful applicants receive a QVA which is then submitted to the registrar by the school's stated deadline. What you are applying into, level by level
Useful to know before the interview, because the shape of the programme changes at each stage.
Early Childhood Education (ages 2.5-5). Nursery through Senior Kinder, on split schedules rather than a full day. Nursery and Junior Kinder run 8:00-11:15 AM or 12:00-3:15 PM; Senior Kinder runs 7:30-11:15 AM or 11:30-3:15 PM. Ask which session has slots, because the AM sessions fill first at most schools and the transport implications are different.
Grade School (Grades 1-6). English-first, with a set of named enrichment streams: ESOL support, FINOL for Filipino non-speakers, a mathematics enrichment pool, an SRA reading laboratory, a junior journalist programme, and separate gifted and remedial art streams. FINOL is the one worth asking about if you are moving from abroad, since Filipino is a graded subject and a returning or foreign student can be badly exposed without it.
Junior High School (Grades 7-10). PAASCU Level III accredited, with advanced electives in Grade 10, science and mathematics enrichment pathways, an MTAP training pool, and sacramental confirmation preparation as part of the formation programme.
Senior High School (Grades 11-12). Four academic strands, STEM, ABM, HUMSS and GAS, with bridge mathematics across all of them and a theology core. CSA is also an IB World School and publishes a separate set of IB Diploma Programme policies, so ask early whether your child is applying into the DepEd strand track, the IB route, or both.
Two things sit alongside the academic programme and are billed separately. ASEP, the Arts and Sports Enrichment Programme, runs after school under the Socio-Cultural Office and covers instrumental music, voice, drawing, ballet and hip-hop, plus named athletic academies and varsity teams in basketball, football, swimming, volleyball, tennis and taekwondo. Augustinian Learning Support provides academic adaptation twice weekly in online or face-to-face formats, plus psychologist and psychiatrist consultations, counselling and home visitations.
What CSA does not publish
Tuition. No figure appears anywhere on the site: not on the admissions page, not on the program offerings page, not as a downloadable rate sheet. The school lists an accounting office with four phone lines but no rates. Ask for a written assessment covering tuition, miscellaneous fees, books, uniform and the ASEP enrichment programmes, which are billed separately. Acceptance rates and cohort sizes. Nothing published. Ask on the campus visit how many Grade 7 slots exist and how many applied last cycle.
Application fee amount. The requirement list asks for the receipt but does not state the amount.
What to ask on the visit
Bring five questions. How many slots exist at the level you want, and how many applied last year. Whether an internal strand shift from GAS to STEM is possible after Grade 11. What the Wellness Office needs to see before it can decide on a special-needs accommodation. What ASEP and Augustinian Learning Support add to the annual bill. And what the total first-year outlay looks like including books and uniforms, not just tuition.
