TL;DR — Assumption Iloilo runs a conventional five-step private-school admission: pay a PHP 250 processing fee, submit documents online or onsite, sit an interview and entrance examination on campus, then wait for an emailed result. The eligibility bar is an average of 80 and above with satisfactory character grades. The school publishes the full document checklist, but no tuition or miscellaneous fee figures at all.
Assumption Iloilo sits on General Luna Street in Iloilo City Proper and runs Kinder through senior high school under the DepEd K to 12 curriculum. What the listing cannot tell you is how the application actually runs, which is what this guide covers: the exact documents per level, the fee, where the exam sits in the sequence, and the two rules in the fine print that catch families out.
The five published steps
The school sets out the application procedure as a numbered sequence, and the order matters because the fee comes before the form.
Step 1 — assemble the requirements. Scan everything if you plan to apply online. The school asks for JPEG, PNG or PDF files and specifies clear scanned copies.
Step 2 — pay the PHP 250 admission processing fee. It is non-refundable and non-transferable. Payment can go through internet banking or an over-the-counter deposit to the school's BPI, BDO or Union Bank accounts under the account name Assumption Iloilo, Inc., with the learner's name and the purpose of payment in the remarks. You can also pay at the Finance Office from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. An official receipt is issued after confirmation and claimed from the Finance Office on schedule.
Step 3 — submit the application form with complete documents. There are two forms, one online and one onsite. The onsite route means bringing hard copies to the Admissions and Registrar's Office within the same office hours.
Step 4 — wait for the exam and interview schedule. The school emails this three to five business days after you submit complete documents. The interview and examination are both onsite.
Step 5 — wait for the result, again by email, three to five business days after the interview and examination.
Add it up and a complete application takes roughly two weeks end to end, assuming nothing bounces back. Incomplete applications are not processed at all, so the slowest part is usually collecting the report card and the recommendation form from the current school.
Documents, by level
Preschool applicants (Kinder 1 and Kinder 2)
- Two recent passport-size photos, white background
- One clear copy of the NSO/PSA authenticated birth certificate
- One clear copy of the baptismal certificate
- Screenshot of payment confirmation or a photo of the deposit slip for the processing fee
Grade School (Grades 1 to 6) and High School (Grades 7 to 11)
- Two recent passport-size photos, white background
- Certified true copy of the current school year's report card
- Certificate of Good Moral Character — required for Grades 4 to 6 and 7 to 11 applicants
- One clear copy of the NSO/PSA authenticated birth certificate
- One clear copy of the baptismal certificate
- Recommendation Form, downloadable from the admissions page, filled in by the class adviser or guidance counsellor
- ESC certificate from the previous school, for Grade 8 through Grade 11 applicants
- Screenshot of payment confirmation or a photo of the deposit slip
The Recommendation Form is the item worth starting first. It has to be completed by someone at your child's current school, which puts the timeline partly outside your control, and the school asks you to bring the accomplished form to the scheduled interview and exam rather than uploading it and forgetting about it.
The ESC line is the other one to read carefully. Age and grade eligibility
The age cut-offs are tied to a fixed date rather than to the start of classes:

Grade 1 carries one extra condition: the applicant must already be enrolled in a DepEd-accredited preschool at Kinder level or its equivalent, with an LRN. A child coming from an unaccredited playschool or from home does not meet that wording as written, so raise it with Admissions before you pay the fee.
Academically, the published bar is an average of 80 and above across all subjects, satisfactory character grades, and completion of the level below.
Dates: read them carefully
The admissions page is headed "Admission Application for SY 2025-2026" and gives an application period of November 24 to May 30, 2026, with the age cut-offs referenced to October 31, 2025. Those labels do not line up cleanly, which usually means the page has been partly updated between cycles.
Treat the shape of the calendar as reliable — applications open in late November and close at the end of May — and confirm the exact dates for your year by email before you plan around them. Enrolment, after you are accepted
Admission and enrolment are separate transactions at Assumption Iloilo, and the second one is a walk-through of three offices:
- Registrar's Office. New learners submit the original Form 137 (transcript) or original Form 138 (report card). You then fill in the Registration Form, the Enrollment Contract, the Health Record and the Data Privacy Consent Form, plus a Summer Reinforcement Certificate if the learner went through summer reinforcement. The school specifically asks parents and learners to read the Enrollment Contract.
- Finance Office. Present the Registration Form and pay.
- Back to the Registrar's Office, where the receipt gets the Registration Form stamped "Officially Enrolled".
Until that stamp exists, the child is not enrolled, whatever the payment receipt says.
What Assumption Iloilo does not publish
This is the honest part of the picture, and it is short:
- No tuition figures. Nothing on the site gives tuition, miscellaneous fees, or a payment scheme for any level. The PHP 250 processing fee is the only amount printed anywhere.
- No senior high school strand list. The application page covers Grades 7 to 11 without naming which academic or TVL strands run.
- No scholarship or discount page. ESC is referenced only as a document you bring, not as something the school describes offering.
- No published class sizes, faculty counts, or entrance exam format.
None of that is unusual for a mid-sized Catholic school in a regional city, but it does mean the Finance Office visit carries more weight than it would at a school with a published fee schedule. When you go, ask for the full assessment per level, not the tuition line: books, uniforms, the ID, and the graduation or moving-up fees are where private school budgets usually break. Who the school suits
Assumption Iloilo is a Catholic, values-first school with a long history in the city and a network that extends across Panay — the school lists Assumption Passi, Sta. Rita Academy in Sibalom, Antique, and the Assumption Socio-Educational Center in Bo. Obrero as related institutions. Families choosing it are usually choosing continuity: one campus from Kinder to senior high, in the middle of Iloilo City Proper, with religious formation built into the week rather than bolted on.
