TL;DR: Arellano University publishes 17 undergraduate academic units on its own site, weighted heavily toward the health sciences (nursing, pharmacy, medical laboratory science, radiologic technology, physical therapy, midwifery) and toward business, education and criminal justice. There is no engineering programme anywhere on the list. The university does not publish tuition rates online, does not map programmes to specific campuses, and its published enrolment procedure mentions no entrance examination.
Everything below is taken from Arellano University's own Undergrad, Graduate School, Senior High School and enrolment pages. Where the university does not publish something, this guide says so rather than filling the gap from a directory.
For address, contact details and reviews, see the Arellano University profile on SchoolFinderPH. This post covers the thing the profile does not hold: the actual programme list.
How Arellano organises its academic units
Arellano does not use a small number of large colleges the way most universities do. Its Undergrad page lists 17 separate units, and they carry three different labels: College, School and Institute. The labels are not a hierarchy you should read anything into. In practice:
- The five Colleges in the health sciences are the ones tied to PRC-licensed professions.
- The Schools are mostly single-discipline or small-cluster units.
- The Institute of Accountancy is a one-programme unit.
There is one wrinkle worth knowing before you read the tables. Three separate business units appear on the list — a School of Business Administration, a School of Business and Commerce, and a School of Business Technology — and their majors overlap. Arellano runs more than one campus, and the most likely explanation is that these are campus-level units rather than three genuinely different business schools. The site does not say which is which, so both lists appear below exactly as published.
Health sciences
This is where Arellano concentrates. Five of its 17 undergraduate units sit here, and each one leads to a PRC licensure examination.
| Academic unit | Degree programme published |
|---|---|
| College of Nursing | Bachelor of Science in Nursing |
| College of Pharmacy | Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy |
| College of Medical Laboratory Science | Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology / Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Science |
| College of Physical Therapy | Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) |
| College of Radiologic Technology | Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology |
| School of Midwifery | Bachelor of Science in Midwifery |
Two details Arellano itself publishes and that are worth pulling out:
- The midwifery programme is described as 70 units of general education, core and professional courses, with 1,071 hours of clinical practicum. That practicum load is the part students underestimate. If you are weighing this route, our midwifery board exam guide explains what the licensure examination actually covers.
- The radiologic technology programme is described as a four-year course combining classroom work and clinical competency training in the imaging sciences.
Every programme in this table ends in a PRC licensure examination, which changes how you should evaluate the school. Passing rates and clinical affiliations matter more than facilities.
Business, accountancy and business technology
| Academic unit | Programmes published |
|---|---|
| Institute of Accountancy | Bachelor of Science in Accountancy |
| School of Business Administration | BSBA majors in Marketing Management, Financial Management, Operations Management, and Human Resource Development Management; plus BS Accounting Information System |
| School of Business and Commerce | BSBA majors in Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Business Management, and Management Accounting; plus BS Accounting Information System (BSAIS) |
| School of Business Technology | Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information System |
Arellano describes BS Accountancy plainly as a four-year course that qualifies graduates to sit the CPA Licensure Examination. That is the correct framing: accountancy is worth taking only if you intend to sit the CPALE.
Note the overlap: Marketing Management and Financial Management appear under both business schools, while Operations Management and Human Resource Development Management appear only under Business Administration, and Business Management and Management Accounting only under Business and Commerce. Ask the Registrar which unit and campus carries the major you want. Do not assume every major runs at every campus.
Education
The School of Education carries the widest programme list of any single unit, and it includes two non-degree certificate routes for people who already hold a bachelor's degree.
Degree programmes published:
- Bachelor of Elementary Education — General Education
- Bachelor of Elementary Education — Pre-School Education
- Bachelor of Elementary Education — SPED
- Bachelor of Secondary Education, majors in Science, English, Math, Filipino, Social Studies, and Values Education
- Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd)
- Bachelor of Physical Education — Sports and Wellness Management (BPE-SWM)
- Bachelor of Library and Information Science
Certificate routes published:
- Teacher Certificate Program (TCP), 30 units
- Certificate Program in Teaching, 18 units
Those last two matter more than they look. If you already have a degree in something else and want to teach, a certificate programme is the shorter path to eligibility for the licensure examination rather than starting a second bachelor's degree. Our guide on how to become a teacher in the Philippines explains where the certificate route fits and where it does not.
Computing and information technology
Two units cover computing, and their lists differ:
| Academic unit | Programmes published |
|---|---|
| School of Computer Studies | BS Computer Science, BS Information Technology |
| Information Technology Education (ITE) Cluster | BS Computer Science, BS Information Technology, BS Information Systems |
BS Information Systems appears only under the ITE Cluster. If that is the degree you want — it is the business-process-facing one of the three, distinct from Computer Science — confirm with the Registrar which campus the ITE Cluster serves before applying.
Arts, sciences, psychology and criminal justice
| Academic unit | Programmes published |
|---|---|
| College of Arts and Sciences | BA English, BA History, BA Political Science, BA Psychology, BA in the Performing Arts (Dance) |
| School of Psychology | Bachelor of Science in Psychology |
| College of Criminal Justice Education | Bachelor of Science in Criminology |
Arellano publishes both a BA Psychology (under Arts and Sciences) and a BS Psychology (under the School of Psychology). That is not a duplication error — they are genuinely different degrees with different course loads, and the choice affects your options for graduate study and for the psychometrician licensure route. We break the difference down in BS vs AB Psychology in the Philippines.
The criminology programme is described by the university as a four-year degree for careers in law enforcement, security administration, crime detection and prevention, and correctional administration. It leads to the Criminologist Licensure Examination administered by the PRC.
Hospitality and tourism
The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management publishes two degrees:
- Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) — described as a four-year programme covering creation, planning, development, human resource management and operations across hotels, restaurants and resorts
- Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM)
The same page mentions short-term TESDA-accredited courses but does not name them. If you are looking at a TESDA certificate rather than a four-year degree, ask the school for the current list. It changes, and the site does not carry it.
Graduate studies
Arellano's graduate programmes sit under the Florentino Cayco Memorial School of Graduate Studies. The university publishes three graduate schools:
- Graduate School of Business — described as a development-oriented programme aimed at producing competent managers
- Graduate School of Education — the site notes government recognition at the masteral level in 1947 and at the doctoral level in 1969
- Graduate School of Nursing — established in 1978
The site names the three schools but does not list individual master's or doctoral degrees or their majors. If you are shopping for a specific graduate degree, you will have to ask the Graduate Studies office directly; there is no published programme list to compare against other universities.
Arellano also runs an ETEEAP (Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program) pathway and an International Nursing Program, both linked from its main navigation.
Law
Arellano's law school is linked from the university's homepage but runs on its own site rather than as a unit under the Undergrad section. Treat it as a separate application with its own requirements and calendar. Remember that law in the Philippines is a post-baccalaureate degree — you need a completed bachelor's degree before you can apply anywhere, so a law school is never a direct route out of Senior High School.
Senior High School
Arellano publishes a full Senior High School programme across four tracks:
| Track | What Arellano lists |
|---|---|
| Academic | STEM, ABM, HUMSS, GAS |
| Arts and Design | Performing Arts (Music and Dance) |
| Sports | Coaching and Sports, Officiating |
| Technical-Vocational-Livelihood | Home Economics, ICT and Industrial Arts strands, with offerings including food and beverage services, bread and pastry production, housekeeping, cookery, caregiving, tour guiding services, bartending, tourism promotion services, computer programming, animation, electrical installation and maintenance, and machining |
The TVL list is unusually deep for a university-run Senior High School, and it lines up with the college programmes above — the ICT offerings feed the computing degrees, and the home-economics ones feed hospitality. If you are still choosing, our SHS tracks and strands explained guide sets out what each strand actually leads to.
Arellano also runs elementary and junior high school, so it is a full basic-education-through-graduate-school institution.
How enrolment works
Arellano publishes a four-office enrolment procedure. In order:
- Registrar's Office — submit credentials, complete the Student Information Sheet, receive a Student Number.
- Dean's Office — fill up the Student Enrollment Form, get your schedule approved, complete fee assessment.
- Bursar's Office — present the enrolment form and pay tuition and fees.
- Information Technology Center — collect the Registration and Assessment Form (RAF), get the official enrolment stamp, and complete ID application and photography.
There is an optional stop at the Office of Student Affairs to complete a discount form if one applies to you. Returning students follow the same route but skip credential submission; instead their subjects and grades are evaluated.
Documents by applicant type:
| Applicant type | Documents published |
|---|---|
| New first-year student | Form 138, Certificate of Good Moral Character, PSA birth certificate |
| Transferee | Transcript of Records for evaluation, Honorable Dismissal, PSA birth certificate |
| Cross-enrollee | Permit to Cross-Enroll |
Notably, the published procedure does not mention an entrance or qualifying examination. That does not guarantee no college applies its own screening — selective health-science programmes commonly do — but the general university process as published is document-based rather than test-based. If you are assembling paperwork for several universities at once, our college admission requirements checklist covers what most Philippine schools ask for.
Transferees should read the Honorable Dismissal requirement carefully. It means you have to close out your record at your current school properly before Arellano will evaluate your transcript, and that takes time.
What Arellano does not publish
Being explicit about the gaps is more useful than filling them with guesses:
- No tuition rates. No fee schedule appears on the programme pages or the enrolment procedure. Ask the Bursar's Office for a written assessment covering your programme, year level and campus. If cost is the deciding factor, our roundup of low-tuition colleges in Manila is a starting point for comparison.
- No campus-to-programme map. The Undergrad page lists units, not locations. With three overlapping business units on the list, this matters.
- No graduate degree list. Three graduate schools are named; the individual degrees under them are not.
- No named TESDA short courses, despite the hospitality page referring to them.
- No published entrance exam details, because no exam is mentioned in the procedure.
What is not on the list
Two absences are worth stating plainly, because they are common searches:
- Engineering. No civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics, computer or industrial engineering programme appears on Arellano's Undergrad page. The computing degrees are the nearest technical option.
- Medicine and dentistry. Neither appears as a college on the undergraduate list. Arellano's health-science strength is in the allied-health professions, not in the medical or dental doctorates.
If either of those is your target, you are looking at a different university, and the programme list above will not change that.
